“Ms. Cindy, the manager, is great to deal with. The park isn't the best but it worked for my extended stay. They have beautiful sunsets across the lake. They do have on-site coin laundry. They have concrete pads but you park in the grass. The store is closed and no longer in operation at the time of writing this review (9/25/2022).”

“Out in Louisiana for a hiking expedition! Spoke to some locals regarding where to get something good and fast. They said, "Go to Southern Classic!" Oh man, that is some AMAZING FRIED CHICKEN!!! ?? It is juicy, flavorful, crispy (but not too crispy), very good old-fashioned homestyle like Grandma used to make in the iron skillet kind of chicken. We had mashed potatoes and red beans and rice as our sides. Very good as well! But that chicken... I'm getting hungry for it again just thinking about it!”

“Food was amazing. You can't go wrong with the burritos. They are huge. Overall dinner was 10/10 loved it. Staff is friendly, restaurant is clean. All around great service and atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good food.”

“Mom & Pop places are the best and this one surely doesn’t disappoint! Coleslaw was great, tarter sauce was unique and tasted awesome, oysters were fried to perfection. Wife was shocked at how good the chicken livers were. Oh, the fried fish was actually whole fillets of catfish; not cut-up strips. So when you get a 3 piece, you actually get 3 fillets of fish like it used to be!!!”

“The food is great at the time we went the dinning room was closed due to remodeling. I believe the best thing they have is a Texas potato. It is delicious. Just imagine a VERY large loaded baked potato smothered with barbecue too. It is a meal by itself. Highly recommend. Lines can be long so arrive early.....mainly only open for lunch time. They don't offer a Veterans discount. I still love this place.”

“I've always enjoyed the catfish, fried shrimp, and chicken from Country Boy. Our out-of-town family likes it also. And their coleslaw is the best ever!Ms Rita, Mr. Joe, and their staff are great also. Always friendly service.The casual dining room gets busy at lunch time and dinner because Country Boy is known for consistently good food. They offer take out as well.Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.”

“Overall, a good dining experience. Cajun music playing, bayou themed decor, this place has a Louisiana feel. If I had one issue, it was that the portion size for the price was a little small on some of the dishes we ordered. The Fire Flies appetizer was good, but for almost $9.00 I expected a little more than we got. The rolls were delicious and brought out quickly. We ordered the Bayou Chicken, appetizer Trio, kids burger with Mac and cheese, and Cajun Pasta. Everything was tasty and the service was great. We definitely enjoyed our meal and would eat here again.”

“I said no ketchup a little late, for the second time. I heard the girl say that I should have said when I ordered, that it was too late. So I had a burger with some ketchup on it. I ordered an impossible burger and a regular burger. They weren't marked. I had ordered the impossible burger and chicken sandwich to go. The chicken sandwich had a dab of sauce on it and I couldn't taste it at all.”
