“I was in the Gonzales area with my mother in law and the seafood place she wanted to go to wasn't open. I googled some restaurants in the area and came across ToeGo Seafood. The service was excellent, very friendly and the food was amazing. I definitely will visit again when I'm in the area.“

“The new Mike Andersons in Prairieville is in a beautiful venue. You are met with calming huge fish tank. The charbroiled oysters are as good as Drago's as they set the standard. We split a seafood platter very large with stuffed crab, fried shrimp, oysters,crayfish, stuffed shrimp, crab claws, served with cole slaw or salad and a side. Everything was cooked perfectly. Now for the down side and this can be taken care of with a bit of training of the staff. I came in with a cane. We were walked all the way through the restaurant which was nice but not needed When we left we cut the journey out by half. So the hostess needs to see and judge their costumers. The second was the oysters were brought to the table and as a second thought the plates were brought later. So the waiter needs to set the table before food arrives. The sound level is high. This seems to be what places are looking to achieve. All the hard surfaces bounce sounds all over the place. We ordered a lemon pie for dessert one slice for the table. It was still frozen in the middle and could not for the life of me figure what the topping was? Kinda was on the level of a pie bought out of the freezer section. We brought half of a slice home and we had four at the table. We had a really good server who with more training will be awesome. He was very personable.“

“Love it boiled seafood mostly year round . Our fav. Good waitresses Red will sometimes come out to visit with customers. Even the fried chicken is good . Fries Seafood is good all just a little similar in batter. we return almost biweekly for food.“

“YUM!!! I ordered their hush puppies for an appetizer and they were so tasty, especially with their homemade tartar sauce! For my main dish, I got a fried shrimp po'boy. It was my first ever po'boy (I'm new to Louisiana and the gulf coast), and it rocked my world! The fries were good. The whole experience was just stellar!“

The sandwich, eh, not as good as I remember them when I lived in Metairie. The juice was good. But the meat didn't have that deep roast beef being cooked down. “Duckroost is locally owned and gives off a wonderful small town vibe. We get our live and sometimes boiled crawfish there and it is always a wonderful experience. I enjoy their pork cracklings and recently tried their chicken cracklings and they are addictive! The owners are friendly and the staff are helpful and kind. We will continue to buy seafood from Duckroost!“

“Everything from the staff to the food was outstanding! There is beautiful scenery of the river from large windows all around the dining area. You can also dine in out on the large patio when the weather is warm. The prices are a little higher than other Cajun cuisine in the area but the quality is undoubtedly worth it. The crab cakes and fried chicken Cesar salad were perfect and delicious.“
