Although The Cabin might be off the tourist route, it is well worth the drive. The history, alone, makes for a memorable meal. Paulette, our server, was most kind and personable. She gave us the history of the building and how it was pieced together. I was brought a cup of fresh coffee while my husband and I looked at the menu. The cornbread was amazing. Beautiful property, good food and friendly service. We stopped here for lunch on our way from New Orleans to Baton Rouge. It was the perfect lunch spot. I had the shrimp and my husband had the catfish, both were excellent.

The table service is very slow. Some of the dishes are very good but you never know how long you will be there. Some errors in orders. Interior is unique but be ready to wait because typically understaffed.
