We ended up making the detour two days in a row because I liked it so much.The shrimp po’boy was a revelation. Coming from the mountain west, I have never had popcorn shrimp that plump, fresh and perfectly battered. The fish sandwich I had the next day was equally good. And don’t just take my word for it — many of the diners appeared to be locals whose orders the manager already knew. She greeted everybody with friendliness and familiarity without sacrificing speed of service.I’m so glad we made this stop. “The nice ladies made me a tuna foot long fully dressed, no jalapeños. We don’t go for the deals, we skipped the chips. They offer a vended vitamin raspberry water which is a great to those skip sugar as much as possible. Keep up these changes and we will come back more often.“
“I was in town (from El Paso, TX) giving a training to teachers at Elysian Fields School and they all recommended "Mr. Po-Boy" for lunch. I went and had the 8 inch "Ray-Ray" (combo of shrimp, roast beef and sausage-my new all time FAVORITE) with all the fixin's and it was OUTSTANDING!! Plenty big enough. I ate half and saved the other half to eat at the New Orleans airport while waiting for my flight that night, and it was still OMG-DELICIOUS!! The combination was unexpected but those flavors meshed so swell together! It was the BEST thing I have ever eaten! Everything was cooked to perfection! I told them that I would be back after my training, around 3:30 to pick up some to take home and they obliged by putting everything in separate containers so I could put it together and have it as fresh as possible when I got home. I bright home a half n' half (grilled shrimp & fried oyster) and a Buffalo shrimp with ranch. Again, the food was INCREDIBLE! Whenever I am in Houma, this is the place I will go eat! They have an 8" and and 11" inch Po-Boy. Both are filling and stuffed with your ingredients. Just depends on how hungry you are. So, if you are in Houma, like their shirts says, "You've tried the rest, now try the BEST.", and they aren't lying! The food is FABULOUS, the service is SUPERB, and the staff is so COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY!! I highly recommend you go and see Trina, Hannah, Wendell, and the crew at the Mr. Po-Boy on Grand Calliou in Houma, LA.! You may have tried the rest, but in doubt about, in my opinion, THEY ARE THE BEST, and their food and service will have you coming back for more!! Keep up the great work guys! “I made my order through the app, the cashier initially had some trouble finding my order, thankfully someone else was in the middle of making the order and brought the food to me.I did have a slight issue during my visit, thankfully the manager resolved the issue almost immediately. Immediately. I ordered a bowl of chili with my beef and cheddar brisket sub, and their system showed that I had only ordered chips. Which was surprising given that my order cost almost $17 for a medium sub combo on the app. Thankfully, the manager had a worker get me the chili without any issues.It has been some time since I've been to any firehouse subs location, but I recall the beef and cheddared brisket having more impactful flavor than what I experienced on this visit. The sub was good, the barbecue sauce on the sub just didn't hit quite the same as I remember it.“
“Normally freaky fast as the commercials state and always fresh, today was the first time that I sat in the drive-through for a long time (~20 minutes for 5 cars compared to <5 minutes every other time). The employees are always very friendly, and they gave me a cookie and some kicking ranch dip on the house today, which I assume is due to the long wait as they apologized for the wait. The problem is once I got back to work, I unwrapped my sandwich and found that I had someone else's sandwich, and not only that, it was a lettuce wrap tuna club. I hate tuna unless it's sushi or fresh tuna steak, and I love their bread, which made today's experience a triple negative including the wait.Despite having three major negative points today, I decided to post a positive review. Since opening, I have probably ate at the Jimmy John's in Thibodaux over 50 times with all but one time using the drive-through and never had a single complaint. It's probably one of the fastest and healthiest places to get lunch if that's your thing, although I never get a lettuce wrap because I love the bread. So if you happen to have a bad experience like I did today, it's not the typical experience.Edit: The following day I returned for lunch. They were deliberately confirming orders at the delivery window, which I wondered if it was in response to knowing an order was mixed up the day before. I mentioned that my order was wrong the day before, and they asked if I was the one that got the tuna. I said yes, and they apologized and gave me a card for a couple free sandwiches. I was very impressed with the way they handled making a mistake, which reaffirms my positive rating despite the one negative experience.“

“I was visiting my two sons who live in Bayou Blue. My youngest son, Bert and I were invited to to two different homes for dinner. One place was serving deer and the other was serving rabbit. I really did feel it. So, we declined and got in the expressway and headed to Subway! The place was clean, the staff was super friendly. My son and I were going to dine in. We enjoyed our subs and had a great visit.“
