I had an informal gathering in Audubon Park for about 15 people. Knowing about Crabbies I ordered shrimp po-boys, potato salad, and bread pudding in advance. When I picked it up all was ready with food and all necessary utensils. The food was as good as I remembered, sandwiches overflowing with perfectly fried shrimp. I was happy to share a New Orlean’s culinary treat with my out of town guests.

Crabby Jacks was recommended to us by the visitor center in New Orleans, we would have never gone there without the recommendation, since it didn't look that great from the outside, the food was great, large portions, reasonable prices.

My sister and I ordered a late lunch from Crabby Jack’s based on her recommendation. She raved about the shrimp platter. I ordered the shrimp platter and to my surprise it was popcorn shrimp. I had expected butterfly shrimp. Anyway, it was tasty and well-seasoned. I had enough leftover to eat the following day. I also wanted a vegetable side that wasn’t fried. I chose the red beans and rice (ordered by phone), but I wasn’t informed that was an up charge, until I looked at the receipt. Anyway, the red beans and rice with sausage was divine. I will visit another time to try a different fried entree.

Fried green tomatoes and bread pudding. Shrimp poboys tasteless although given an abundance #. Worst shrimp creole ever eaten. Our order was packed and sat on the counter a good 10-15 minutes while we stood waiting. At least 9 new patrons came in after us, placed their order and received it while ours remained sitting on the counter. Everything cold and bread soggy. Most disappointing meal most of which we ended up mot eating. I am sure any good review are from the hospital workers who would not know ant better since it is a step up from hospital food. No wonder they take payment before receiving your order. I certainly regret leaving a good tip,

Tried the roast beef poor boy! WOW best gravy yet. Menu selection is very large for a place in a industrial area. Plenty of parking, friendly staff, great service, that is fast. Hope to try all items on menu

Ordered the duck sandwich and alligator sandwich with pimento cheese. Both were the real deal. My spouse stated the alligator was `too real, ` the swamp the alligator was pulled from taste came right through. I enjoyed the authentic duck, there was plenty of seating. Just use the bathroom elsewhere. You access bathroom from outside of restaurant and you can sit on toilet and wash your hands at the same time. But hey, you're there for the food.
Had the stuffed mirlitons. The stuffing was all bread crumbs with only 2 little shrimp in it. Wasn't tasty either. The fried shrimp that came with it were VERY over cooked and hard. Hubby got the cheese burger on french and it was ok he said but nothing to write home about.

I went in because I read the review on Crabby Jacks Po’ Boys. Probably the best shrimp po’ boy I’ve ever had. They are HUGE, even the “small”, and are overflowing with shrimp. Basically it’s like 3 meals. The person taking my order asked me if I want any sides. I looked up on the menu and asked about the Brussels Sprouts. They are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! I actually took home have the Po’boy because there was no way I was leaving any Brussels Sprouts uneaten. GREAT stop, friendly service!

The best shrimp PO-boy you'll ever wrap your lips around. Just delicious shrimp nice big and juicy. They dressed the sandwich with lettuce tomatoes and mayo, The fried green tomatoes and remoulade sauce hmmm good. Can't say enough wonderful things about Crabby Jacks. Also, try one of the lunch specials

I have no idea if this place is good place to get seafood! However I was on I-10 in the Lafayette area 8-1-2019 when one of there trucks cut me off and then several other vehicles as well including at double tractor trailer! Totally irresponsible and to top it off there was no license plate on the truck. If the business is operated like the truck was being operated doing anything with them would be scare!

Have worked with this company for years. I have met Ragan & Robbie, great guys & they will take care of you. I’ve worked with & cooked A LOT of seafood from LA S E. They offer a lot of different products. Haven’t tried them all, but I have worked with a whole lot of them & have been very satisfied. Ask for Robbie or Ragan!!
