“The looks of the food does no justice. You have to actually try their food. Living in a world with so much inflation and bad unhealthy food, I left here feeling like I received my monies worth. I ate half my plate and I had energy to do other activities afterwards. I walked the French Quarter and didn’t feel tired. I finished the rest of my plate for dinner and instead of feeling tired and sleepy, I decided to come here and write this post. Worth every second of my time. Eating vegetables are an exciting experience, especially when you can eat them and feel good.“

“My first experience with Food Assassin was via their food truck at FABC. My first time trying lamb and it was great. I have been to the restaurant 2 times since then and will return again. The staff is friendly and customer service is great too. Today I ordered lamb, a loaded baked potatoe and a grilled shrimp salad. My only complaint is my salad did not have cucumbers and red onions as seen on the menu picture. I did not check my order prior to leaving and it was a couple of hours later when I sat down to eat the salad. Van“

“I heard about this place online, and they did not disappoint. The line was down the street. There were people from all over the country (FL, TX, MD, DC- and they weren't together)in line that came to visit and try their food. I wanted to try everything, but I got fish with a side of chicken, mac and cheese, and glazed/sweet green beans. Everything was so good. The chicken was so crispy and juicy. The catfish was flaky with crispy flavorful batter - and I don't even like catfish... let me say that! The portion sizes were amazing, and so was the customer service. They have Anointed Confections inside the store that sell the most delicious cakes, cupcakes, and pound cakes(not sure about pie) but dem cakes...look baby! Moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. “I was in the mood for some gumbo & stopped here after reading reviews. The reviews don't lie - their gumbo was Sooooo good! The best I've had with perfectly cooked sausage, shrimp, & chicken and just the right amount of kick. I loved that the combo came with grilled cheese & potato salad; it was the perfect balance. We also ordered the lobster mash and it was delicious! I only got a few bites before my husband devoured it. We'll definitely visit next time we're in NOLA.“
“A wonderful experience in the place of experience’s. If your coming to Bourbon Street, make this a must do on your list. My Sazerac was spot on, and the food was authentic and very flavorful. Full on the food or not, you will be amiss if you don’t try the bread pudding. But from the first bite….this place has a customer for life and I’ll send everyone I know there. Even being delivered it was hot, fresh, and a great portion of food! The ribs were the best! “This was my first time here and it was amazing! The bbq ribs fell off the bone and the collard greens were flat out delicious!! I would definitely recommend! “Came in today and got their special of the day - the spaghetti. It was really good. Packed with flavor and very satisfying. Also had the mixed vegetables that were great as well. The service was great, everyone was kind and welcoming. I got mines to go, but there's a decent amount of seating inside. It's a very chill place to go to and relax while you eat. I'll definitely be back. I keep hearing about these seafood egg rolls, which I'll get on my next visit. Please go out and support these good people.“

The portions are great and there was no missing flavor from anything we ordered. Most tourist restaurants we’ve been to needed seasoning. The gut Buster in the box had the taste of day old grease and fries that appeared to have been soaked in water after being taken out of the day old grease. When the lady brought the bag to the table, I asked Ma'am is this the platter and she then replied load and proud Yeeeepppppp! Mind you, we paid aprox $70.00 for this heartburn and two drinks that tasted like over rated and highly sweetened suga water with a Lil color. Eat at your own risk and if you choose to do so make sure you have the anti acid pills close by along with some baby wipes to donate your platter to a better cause.“
