Reviews for Mambo’s

First time I went there was a line and I waited quite a bit. The line kept getting bigger, too. Line was moving slow also. That's all the negative. Once I was in: showtime. I was seated at the bar and I met the bartender, Leah. She was amazing, real, and full of good suggestions. She and the chef made my first experience in NOLA memorable. All the drinks I had were good: Tropical Storm, Hurricane Remy, and Sazerac. Sazerac was the best one and Leah loved making them. The full review
The spot was so good , started out with the alligator bites , it was half fried and half baked . The fried ones taste better they were perfectly seasoned and fresh and fluffy and crispy . then for my drink I had This voodoo rum punch and it was everything , like when I tell You I love A good drink that is sweet and strong , and it has different kinds of rum in it . for my entree I tried The bayou trio so it was the red beans and rice the gumbo and the etoufee , all three full review
Overall the food was good! Well seasoned and warm. The burger was a little less than stellar but mambos isn't a burger joint. The desserts were A1 the bread pudding was top 4 that I've had. The blackened catfish was really good and the rice was waaay better than I expected. If you're into lots of flavor, go for it! If you're not as adventurous or more averse to spice (as in spices, not spicy/hot) then go for something a little more mild like the crab cake pasta. Only other full review
