“We were over the top with the entire meal. We started with the sampler appetizer and it was amazing. I had spaghetti and meatballs with the Italian house salad and my fiance had the meatball poboy. Everything was amazing and so delicious and the service was excellent. I have looked for an Italian restuarant to please my palate and have been disappointed but NO MORE, Gendusa's has met my expectations above and beyond!”

“My only regret is not finding this spot sooner! I'm in town a few times a month and just happened to drive by and stop today. First off the waitress (Mrs. Lisa) was amazing! Super friendly and sweet! drink never ran out before I had another sitting beside it. I ordered the fried craw claws and the swamp platter. It was all cooked fresh and came out very quick. Seasoning was on point! very large portions (no chance you're leaving hungry) This is the first restaurant in the area I give a 10 out of 10. let's face it most NOLA restaurants rush food in and out and season just enough to get by because of the tourists! I'll be seeing you again Mrs. Lisa! (side note her husband is also a Dolphins fan so make that 11 out of 10 stars)”

Trash on the floor and water everywhere. The restroom didn't get checked at all that day. Good thing I went on my way out. It was extremely displeasing and made me wonder what the kitchen may look like. I won't be back anytime soon, but my granddaughter likes their Chicken Alfredo, and that's the only reason I dine there.”

“Everyone has heard the phrase… “Do not judge a book by its cover. Well, I almost did. When you go to Tavern on Vets, the outside makes you a little skeptical. Windows blacked out, not sure which door to use. You walk in and it is kind of dark. But, then you sit down. You then see, etched in the mirror, “A Loser Friendly Atmosphere”. I could not help but laugh. The service was fantastic. The bartender was friendly like someone you knew your whole life. The food, oh man the food. For a small bar kitchen, the food was cooked with such flavor and presentation. Now, there was one small error made on my wife’s wrap but it was quickly taken care of without complaint. We are only here for the week, we just might go back and read that book again.”

“Highly recommend coming here. The food was great, especially the crab cakes. The beer was cold. There were at least 8 birthdays while we were there including my buddy Johns. They brought us out some bread with a dump truck full of powder on it. A great place to spend your birthday. Staff was super nice and attentive. In the bathroom they were bumping R&B which really sets the mood. All in all, a 10/10 experience”

“I had the tenderloin and oxtail pho and if it wasn’t for the slow service I would have given this restaurant 5 stars. The broth was full of flavor and the meat was fresh and very good quality. The ox tail was melting off the bone. The restaurant was very clean and staff was very nice just very laid back. It is a little pricey however the quality is well worth it.”

“I had a very good ribeye there for a lunch, juicy and tender. Mashed potatoes were a great addition to it. It was a good idea to update the menu (previously there was a sirloin, average at best). Thumbs up for very reasonable prices of food in general.

“From the top: This restaurant is located at the end of Gate B where Spirit flies out of. Literally at the end. You can’t see it. Keep walking. Hostess did not escort us to a table. She told us to find a table on the other side. So we did. After being seated, I saw another family be escorted to their table. I don’t like the phone ordering part. Don’t make me work for it. Make sure your camera phone/tablet works/is charged up, as there are no handheld/paper menus. You have to place your order from your mobile device. There are NO PICTURES on the mobile menu. Weird. Wait time was good. No issues there. I orders the jambalaya. It is very tasty and hot! Just the right amount of spice and heat. Plenty of yummy and mild andouille sausage, shrimp (24/30 and one size down) and tender chunks of chicken that I was able to cut with a spoon. It is not skimpy at all! (I did have a big piece of shrimp cartilage though). My jambalaya looks like someone else’s pic from a year ago and that pic was impressive!! The price and that pic are the reasons I ordered it. I’m pleased…and FULL!!! Woo! I’m struggling to finish it 😂 Because I also ordered dessert, everything came out at once. I don’t like that. My dessert will not be cool when it’s time to eat it. I’m hoping there are bananas in my banana pudding but it doesn’t look like it. I see two banana slices on top. If you sit in the “booth style seating” you can charge multiple devices. You can even use just your USB cord. The lady who served me was nice and polite. She checked on me at least twice before I submitted my review. She took away my dirty napkin while I was eating. That nice and unexpected. Overall, it’s 4stars. I would eat here again. Not bad at all for airport food! Hope this helps!!”

The last time we got them they were raw tortillas with meet inside and some sauce on top. There weren't placed in an oven and covered with sauce and cheese like they use to be. It's disgusting to serve something like this to customers. We will be looking elsewhere unless this changes.”

Nothing much in the way of veggies (eg just a few small onions). White rice was middle of the road / good. Egg roll was hot, and same as you’ll find from freezer section in big-box store.
Ordering by phone was easy and friendly.
Food was ready earlier than advised (+). Good all around ordering, pick-up experience.
Pricing was as you’d expect.

“I have been coming to French Press on williams blvd for years. The employees know exactly what I want when they see my truck and they always address me by my name. If I owned a business I would want them on my team. I was once on a work trip for about 3 weeks and they hadn't heard from or saw me. I pull up one morning when I returned and they were all concerned because they thought something had happened to me. This place is #1 in my book. A little add on for my extended family at french press. The young ladies there really take care of themselves. We always joke about their nails. They truly have some of the coolest nail designs. "Why would you want to buy coffee somewhere else".”

My husband and I shared a lunchtime Shrimp with Hot Garlic Sauce, and requested it extra spicy. Our friend had a Mandarin Chicken with white meat, which was an extra cost. At first I thought the lunch prices were a little high, but the huge servings really made it a value. The shrimp with extra spicy hot garlic sauce was loaded with shrimp, freshly cooked veggies, and was perfectly seasoned. Even the combination fried rice was loaded with shrimp and other meats and was absolutely delicious. This meal was hands down the BEST Chinese food we've had in years. Our friend ordered a Mandarin Chicken which he thoroughly enjoyed. The portions are HUGE and could easily make 2 meals. The service was cordial and our waitress checked on us to ensure we were fine. Also, the restroom and the restaurant were clean. We highly recommend this place and will return when we are in the area.”
