My sis and I went see a friend perform in the Bar area. It's a cool little spot for live music . The salsa is so good. It's served warm. Yum! The food is very good. We had a fantastic time hanging out.

It's the only place I like warm salsa.

In line with every other Mexican restaurant I’ve tried in Louisiana. Basic flavors and nothing that stood out. The nachos were made with what seemed like Tostisto chips from a bag. Very tight with the guac on the nachos and sour cream. Service was excellent and the waitress was very friendly. While I has paid $20 (with tip) for an enchilada plate, or an order of nachos, the price should match the flavors. That wasn’t my experience at Tampico’s. Gave it a shot, but not ready to return any time soon.

Best nachos in my opinion. Not like most places where only the top layer of chips has toppings. Each individual nacho had toppings and it was very flavorful. We ordered a couple of different items off the menu and all were pretty good. I most definitely recommend the super nachos though.

It was...um...something. The service was NOT the best (one of our friends was ignored SEVERAL times), the food wasn't the best but it was "edible". What got my goat were the gnats that keep flying around and landed on the wall next to my husband. I counted 11 on that wall. I really don't know...*sighs*. ??

Went to Tampicos Saturday night. Food was excellent. Service good. Large Margarita was good. A little pricey $15. Will go back

I love Tampico's. Been eating at their various locations since I can remember. I've eaten at almost every Mexican restaurant in the Lafayette area and Tampico's still had the very best salsa. All of their dishes are delicious as well. I recommend the chimichanga and emmolada enchiladas.

I grew up eating at Tampico's (Morgan City); I love their food because it's consistently good. But Friday night, at the bar, I ordered a HALF order of the panchos (a nacho chip with refried beans, cheese, guacamole and a slice of jalapeno). The panchos arrived with a thimble-full of guac on each. (That's not usual, Tampico's has been stingy with the guac for years.) The real issue is that I was charged $11.00 for six chips with beans, cheese & guac!! I thought that was the price for an entire order, not 6. When you think about the actual cost of one nacho chip, a 1/2 teaspoon of refried beans, a sprinkle of cheese, a thimble of guac and a slice of jalapeno pepper, that totals just under $2.00 a chip - an absolutely ridiculous price. I bet Carmen has no idea how her greedy children are running her restaurants into the ground. Shame on y'all.

The worse Mexican I have ever had…The salsa taste like tomato sauce….zero spice… food terrible… margaritas way over priced!!!!! Better Mexican in St. Louis Missouri!! Management not at all concerned about any feedback.. again I would NOT WASTE my money… over priced for TERRIBLE FOOD!!!!

There is a reason this nice restaurant is empty. High prices and poor quality. Salsa tasted like marinara sauce. Queso cheese was velveeta with canned rotel sauce. We brought these observations to management’s attention and they could careless what we thought. Don’t waste your time or money. Go to Chuy’s
