“We were in town from Houston & I was craving breakfast tacos. (The ones they were serving in our hotel’s restaurant weren’t it!) We found this little place in a gas station turned restaurant. Perfectly authentic breakfast tacos! The hand made flour tortillas were SO good. The tacos were large & very filling. Loved the salsa verde: not too spicy but had a nice little kick to it. 10 out of 10, I’d eat here again!“
“They were only serving their brunch menu but we got the boudin balls, crab cakes & shrimp cocktail. I have high standards for sea food and it was all great. The boudin was the best we had on our trip. They had live music playing who was also super great & added to a good atmosphere. Highly recommend!“

We just ate here for the 2nd time (two days apart from each other because we were so satisfied). *We were greeted with smiling faces and the wait staff was top notch. *Clean restaurant with nice outdoor dining option, too. We sat inside for our first visit. The second visit we enjoyed the beautiful day and sat outside. *The chips were delicious, but nothing beats their WARM salsa!! *The Cool Cucumber Rita is now my new favorite drink EVER! It has the perfect refreshing taste without an overpowering sweet taste and just the right subtle flavor of cucumber and mint. PLEASE don’t ever change the recipe to this drink!! * The food was delicious and FRESH — it did not taste as though it was just passed through a heated oven on the plate. My favorite so far is the Camaron Taco (shrimp taco). It has the most delicious sauce on it. My shredded chicken fajita burrito was also very delicious with lots of meat and delicious fresh veggies. Although I didn’t try the beans and rice myself, those that were with me complimented how delicious they were and didn’t taste like the typical Mexican restaurants. I just hope that this place keeps everything fresh, clean, and top notch!! We will definitely be back!“
“Stopped on a Sunday traveling home from Galveston to Florida after a cruise. Service was great, pleasant and fast. Food was delicious and plentiful. Ambiance was family friendly and fairly quiet. We had a nice time and enjoyed our meal. We will be back again if we are in this area again.“

(popeyes educated) i ordered enchiladas, expect my usual indigestion issues later. no lies. from first bite to the last. i knew if i had indigestion, it wouldn't be bad. “I had the Enchiladas Supreme. One Chicken, one beef, one bean, and one cheese. Beef was great, bean was great, cheese was good. The chicken was INCREDIBLE! I don't like chicken but this place will definitely see more of me. And I will be ordering the chicken Enchiladas from here on out!!“
“Taco Mel? Tacos Buenos! It does not look like much when you look at it from the outside. You could probably just expect it to be another average small taqueria chain that gets 2 customers a month. But I can assure you, these tacos were muy perfecto. My family and I ordered 3 chicken tacos, tortilla chips, and a chicken quesadilla, which is extremely hard to screw up. The lady at the cashier was nice and speedy. We waited for a good 7 minutes. They didn't screw it up, they didn't even make it good, they made them excellent! The chicken and cheese mashed together made for a duo that was muy delicioso. The salsa on the chips danced in my mouth like a group of dancers practicing the salsa. The tortilla for both the quesadilla and tacos were fresh and did not disappoint. There is a ingredient bar where you can put on your own components so you can enhance the flavor of your tacos. It wasn't until after I was done eating that I noticed that the floor and tables weren't clean, they were removed of every single germ, they were spotless, pristine, even. I recommend trying out this taqueria, because it will make your tastebuds do the tango!“

“My fiancé and I had lunch here today and it was a great experience. Both salsas (green and red) were so yummy. I got the street tacos which came with 5 tacos. 3 of which I got chicken and two El pastor, and my fiancé got the fajita burrito. Both were so amazing and fresh. Our waitress, Sky, was a doll. She was very informative, sweet, and efficient. Definitely worth a try!!“

“I got to experience this little restaurant with my daughter and my granddaughter. The atmosphere was so friendly and family-oriented, I really like the place when we walked in. I don't recall what my granddaughter got, but she liked it. My daughter got a platter with a chimichanga, a burrito, and a quesadilla. Plate was full. I ordered what I thought was going to be a chicken straight taco, and I was not disappointed! It was a regular sized taco, with plenty of chicken on it. I asked If they might have some spicy or salsa, and our server brought out a little bowl of the tastiest smoky salsa I've ever eaten. It was nicely spicy, not too little, not too much. Just the right amount of spice for the smokiness of the salsa. We had plenty of food, and my daughter was able to take home most of her meal. Our server was great, she never even had a notepad. She just memorized our order, and I don't know how many others. Lovely young lady.I see below that I could take pictures and add, but I was too busy stuffing my face at the time. “Rosita's 2 has the best birria tacos in lake Charles. That's a bold statement, there are WAY too many Mexican restaurants in LC, but I'll stand by my statement. I would HIGHLY recommend going and getting them. They also have a full list of different types of street taco meats (lengua) if u're looking for something other than steak/chicken. My point is this is the real deal. This is Mexican, not drowned in queso TexMex, which is WAY better in my opinion. When you want to satisfy your Mexican hankering and want the best calcasieu parish has to offer go to Rosita's in Sulphur or Rosita's 2 in Lake Charles. You won't regret it, and you're welcome in advance!“

“Where are all the recent FB reviews about your tamales and service. I only see 1 or 2 recent reviews about their tamales??!! All other reviews are several years old!! Were they hidden or deleted? I will leave one: I just bought a dozen tamales and the elderly man was not pleasant. He was rude. He threw my tamales in a plastic bag and when I grabbed it, it was so hot I almost dropped it. He literally put the tamales in a plastic bag and not in a cardboard or a paper plate. Just a loose bag. I will not be back. The tamales may be good, (but his attitude and service was very poor to say the least. The“
“Very spacious restaurant with tasty food. The tortilla soup served on the side is a must! The pollo platter with grilled chicken breast and shrimp, veggies on the side was amazing. We got an eggplant dish that didn't taste properly cooked unfortunately, with eggplant remaining hard. The enchiladas were also pretty good and you can customize for vegetarian options. Hard shelled taco that came with the enchilada was absolutely amazing. Service was great, our server gave great tips as she noted she has been here for 20 years! It is pretty cold inside, perhaps because there were many ceiling fans running - we turned the one closest to us off and felt warmer. Some of the plates were chipped, though server ensured we got proper replacements. Worth a visit for sure.“
