“We stopped in from Indiana to buy oysters for my wife. She bought a half gallon of fresh oysters and noticed the price of the shrimp and so we purchased 10 pounds of shrimp. Later that evening she ate the entire half gallon of oysters with some sauce she had made in Indiana and brought for that purpose. There must have been 80 oysters that half gallon. We are now home and the shrimp. were still fresh frozen and they look very good thank you tothe proprietor of Wine Island seafood.”

“Our appointment with Melanie was friendly and encouraging. We wanted our cake design to be custom but simple even though there would be elements of elaborate design. We were not disappointed. Our wedding guests marveled at how the cake was artistically detailed. Its presentation was spot on. And the color match perfect !Then there was the flavor. A frosting that was creamy, fillings that were full of flavor (lemon and coconut) and cake that was light, fresh and tasty. There was little cleanup at the end of our reception, because everyone in attendance wanted a share of the cake to take home.Thank you Melanie and Caro’s Cakes for contributing to our memories of one of the most wonderful days in our lives.”

“I was a bit early for a scheduled tour in the area, looked around to see what was open and decided to come here. Neat little 50s themed Cafe. I got the French Toast breakfast with eggs, hash browns and bacon and it was all very good. I'm glad I came and if I am in the area again, I will stop here again.”

“Been there once before while on a motorcycle ride with my boyfriend, didnt get to really meet anyone at that time. Went yesterday afternoon (02/27/19.) Met two of the nicest, coolest, funniest chicks, whom just happened to have been the most awesome bartender's this side of Raceland. They werent just buttering up for tips, they were truly genuine. This place has a great local atmosphere, with downhome feel, like you've been going there for much of your adult life, or that you grew up with the locals. Kudos to Ms. Christina and Ms. Meghan! (Sorry ladies, if i misspelled your names.) This is a most visit if you're out and about in the Raceland or surrounding areas!”
