Stopped in here for a late lunch and wanted to try the place out. The sandwich was good except for the fact that the bread was overtoasted to the point that there was burnt spots. Would have gotten a five-star review had they had a little better quality contro,l and when I went it was late in the afternoon and there was no crowd so they can't say they were busy. The roast beef was good enough to make up for the burnt bread hopefully if I go back next time I won't get a burnt sandwich.
So glad we have Big Bear Po-boys in Mandeville! The Covington family restaurant has certainly been the go-to for many years but living in Mandeville, downtown Covington is inconvenient to get to on a quick whim. The best po- boys around are put out by this family and their restaurants!

The food is outstanding, and those working gave our kids one of their homemade cookies, which was great. If you want a roast beef poboy, this is where you should go. Seating is limited and outside only.
