Great location on the lakefront of Mandeville and it's a nice place to visit. The drinks are over priced, several other places walking distance with cheaper drinks. 1 Miller lite and a 1800 with soda was $18, too much, but that might be fine to others.You have to grab the attention of the bartender for acknowledgement.
Come to enjoy the atmosphere and the history of this place, which is just Incredible! Did you know there's ghosts here? Also the staff (Ryan in particular ) are wonderful people who want to share the history and provide pertinent details so it is not lost. We will definitely be back!

Don's on the lake has a refreshed vibe thanks to owner and manager Kathy. It's a locals hangout with decent views of Lake Pontchatrain during the day. The back is open to the patio which makes it spacier and provides a breath of fresh air. Service is decent. They do not serve food. Drinks only.
