I ordered online to pick up. I questioned the size of the large salad and our conversation went down hill from there. I am accustomed to having the salad tossed and the chicken hot. It was prepackaged and looked to be half the size it use to be. Everything came out of the refrigerator, or so I thought. The lady on the register explained that I needed to request it heated. I didn’t know and I was running late now. The manager then decided to put her comments in and our conversation went down hill. She informed me everything was cooked fresh. I disagreed, how can chicken be cooked fresh and be cold??? I took the chicken out the bag and asked her to heat it up. She then told me she could refuse serving people that were nasty. So I agreed and told her to return my money an I would leave. It has been a day and only my purchase of $16 has been refunded. The $46.75 is still not refunded. This was my favorite place for salad and soup. Everytime I go to Mandeville I order the same thing. Sad I’ll have to find another place to bring lunch to to my father.

The food is always yummy and I love stopping for a pastry and coffee. However, lately the service level has gone down and the atmosphere just doesn’t feel as cozy and peaceful as it used to. Still definitely recommend the food, but I’d honestly rather get it to go instead of eating there recently.Parking: Plenty of spots all around the buildingKid-friendliness: Not a high end place, very kid welcoming.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair parking spots, ramp to get inside, and plenty of open tables with chairs that can be moved out of your way.

Only ones in line and no one came to wait on us for ever!! Got the order wrong had to go back for what we ordered twice and finally said forget it when we asked for eggs over medium and came out scrambled!? Had only a couple silverware to use. Out of sweetener, and coffee was cold out of the coffee pot? Early morning so maybe coffee was from yesterday??? Food was no where near what it was before. Ordered quiche, undercooked and cold, no flavor so I couldn't finish it. Out of bread bread for toast??? But then suddenly it was there?!? This place has some major issues with staff and I can't imagine it being in business much longer. Which is sad because the one in Baton Rouge is always good, this one is awful. Pretty sad when the server had to remind the cook what was on the ticket several times?!? Just weird...

Nothing wrong with the food itself, everyone liked what they got, but the service was horrible. I had never been here before and was unsure where to go to start the order, no workers were around or eager to help with my confusion. Finally found someone and it just gets worse. Management is blaming it on employees and has no sense of friendliness during any of the interaction. Food took forever and no one in the restaurant must communicate because when asked about the status of food orders some of the workers seemed confused about the fact that orders hadn't already been taken out. Some people in our party got their food quickly while others had to wait awhile cause apparently they had ordered things that would take a while, but were not told that upon ordering (if something isn't prepped and ready to go and is going to take 30 minutes to prepare vs the five minutes everything else takes you should probably inform someone of that upon ordering). Genuinely considered cutting my losses and leaving before I got my food since everyone else was done and I still hadn't received my food along with one other member of our party. I will be living close to this location for the next few months and don't intend on coming back with so many other options in the area. All of this to say, beware going here for a quick meal with friends or family.

I called to place an order for a Sacher cake for my son's birthday on a Saturday to pick up on a Monday. The lady took my order and that was it. I came Monday to pick up the cake and it wasn't even made. The manager said that because I didn't pay for it it's not made. The lady who took my order didn't even tell me that! In the past I've called and placed the order and when I picked it up I paid for it. Horrible service will never go back because it was a disappointment since it was for a birthday.

9/14/23: A few days ago we had an issue with a to-go order and management (Kawanna G.) was extremely responsive and timely in resolving the issue. Today we had the pleasure of meeting her and the Director of Operations (Mike) for a redo. We were very impressed and enjoyed a delightful dine-in lunch. We will be back!9/9/23: Be sure to check your to-go order because the staff will forget to complete your entire order. I’m glad I did and noticed a missing soup as well the extra salad dressings we paid for thru the La Madeleine app. The portions of our items were small and not as tasty as pictured. The app shows the country potato soup as including cheese and bacon bits but the to-go staff doesn’t include them. It’s frustrating when you do the work of placing the order online and tipping online just to have your order incomplete. You can’t just grab and go with confidence. I’ve had an issue with location in the past too and there’s a reason why their Yelp rating is so low. Next time we will spend a few more dollars and go to Coffee Rani across the street.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! They are infested with bugs and not clean!! I used to be a regular here, even though the service and to-go counter service is awful and my order was always wrong, I loved the food. I will NEVER eat here again after seeing how they store and handle the food, and let bugs crawl everywhere!!
