Anyone who goes out on a limb to open a business should be supported. It makes it much easier when the owners and staff are as friendly and enthusiastic as them! Highly recommend this nutrition shop! “The first thing you notice is the quirky decor & immediately feel at home. The second is the excellent customer service, southern hospitality at its finest. I ordered the crab cakes with poached eggs on top. I will never eat a crab cake anywhere BUT here. Their food was delectable and by far the BEST food I’ve had while in NOLA. Our server gave great free entertainment advice for us tourists and was highly attentive. All this to say, don’t come to NOLA & miss out on Elizabeth’s. They are a MUST experience.”

“Bar Pomona is an under-the-radar gem! You'd be forgiven for driving by and not even noticing it exists, but don't be put off by the uninspiring exterior - within lies a treasure of delicious food, interesting drinks, and top notch service. The flank steak, broccoli and tonnata, and braised white beans were amazing, as were the salame al cioccolato and olive oil soft serve ice cream. The atmosphere is laid back and unpretentious, and I am already looking forward to my next visit!”

“Stop in to get takeout from one of the pop up restaurants that I follow on social media! I was very impressed with the beer garden. Grabbed some to-go beers and a pretzel 🥨. The staff were helpful and just frickin cool! Not to mention the beer garden atmosphere was warm and welcoming! Definitely worth the stop, and I look forward to going back with the family.”

“I got a chicken taco, and steak taco. Both were delicious!

The guy taking my order suggested the steak, but actually I liked the chicken even more.

The green sauce they had was FIRE.

BUT I got a chips and queso and I was not impressed. It tasted like melted American. But burnt or something.

But maybe it was just an off day. Either way I would highly recommend this place if you are in Algiers Point!”

“Visited on Dec 30. Why eat Mexican when in Nola? Because it is world class. Easily a top 5 meal and I have a long list of amazing restaurants visited. I’ll start with the end. Get the desserts. Save room. They are amazing. We opted for both the FLAN and the MASA TRES LECHES. The latter was moist, light and life changing. The flan was rich and fulfilling. The menu is small but MIGHTY. The cocktails were well thought out and varied. We started with the AGUACHILES VERDE and TUNA TOSTADA. Both were fresh, flavorful and authentic. A few bites each for two of us. For the main portions, we chose the CHOCHOYOTES and ARROZ NEGRO. The former is a Mexican influenced play on southern collared greens. More of a side but amazing on its own. A very worthy pair to the main character of this meal, the ARROZ NEGRO. Corn smut sounds terrible but it is delicious. The mussels, squid and shrimp add a Nola flair to this amazing dish. It is very rich and a solid portion. Flavors and texture for days. Plus a bit of umami from the huitlacoche. It is a bit pricy. Total before tip for 2 of us was $250. That included 5 cocktails, 4 dishes and 2 desserts.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed all the trays we got at Ayu Bakehouse on our recent trip to New Orleans! The staff is very friendly, and it’s clear they love the place and the products they produce! Of all the items we tried I would have to say that the one that was hardest for me to share with my family was the muffuletta sticks!”

“Denied access to a legally allowed service dog without any interest in making accommodation. The dog tucked immediately under the table where she is supposed to be and the server (maybe owner) came over immediately asking for paperwork, which isn't required in the United States. Any paperwork provided is typically bought off the internet. Don't waste your time or money here. Sharing their intolerance on every platform. Also just found out that the person who told us we couldn't eat there laughed and tried to joke with the rest of our party and offer free drinks after the fact like that was going to fix splitting our dinner party.”
