I come there with the kids after fishing trips to Hopedale. Shout out to Jared Serigne from outside the levees. I tried it at his recommendation.Great fish, fries, and fried okra. Flavorful, crispy, and not oily.

Have been going here for quite sometime always thought the food was very good and a great value … I was unpleasantly surprised that an item advertised on the online menu for $18 was actually $25 that’s quite an increase … fish was smaller and French fries tasted like they were fried in seafood oil … very disappointed in price and food this go round.Actually there is a photo of your menu on your Facebook page so maybe you should take it down. The price of the item I purchased was 28% more than the price in the photo… that’s quite a price increase at one time … no worries seems your response to less that great reviews is the customers fault !
Super fresh, tender, tasty, fast and friendly❤️ I’m not even a fish eater unless fresh caught, but I ate my 4 pieces with the delicious sauce along with the hot crisp and thin cajun fries! Could eat those hushpuppies all day and the cole slaw was house made and go-od. There are also homemade desserts and soups; will sip mine tomorrow. Wish every family business was as top notch. Get here ??
Great restaurant but I won't dine with them again. Their prices have skyrocketed and when you order over the phone they don't tell you the price for items have changed. So when you get there your paying something you you usually don't pay.

We love the Fish Shack! We stop here for our first meal every time we visit St. Bernard. The shrimp tacos with coleslaw our my favorite, my wife loves the boudin egg rolls, and my kids love the breaded catfish. I can't say enough good things about there food.
Very tasty fried Louisiana Gulf shrimp with a generous serving of cole slaw and fries. Fried fish looked just as good (but didn't try it). Only complaint with this restaurant is there are no options for dishes not fried, like grilled shrimp or fish.As you can see by the Owner's response below, our complaint is on us....we did not ask but should have -- so shame on us. We will be back!
