We just left the restaurant. We were seated in the cove, 3 waitresses were hanging out at the bar and never came to our table. We went back to the hostess stand to ask for a table in the main dining room and the hostess walked away without greeting us. I am an NSU alumni and this was my husband's first trip to Natchitoches, I had raved about Mariner, needless to say I am extremely disappointed!

At one time I loved the Marier, but we have been twice in the last six months and both times were the same. The waiter didn't come around much and the food was not very good.

It was literally the perfect date night! Atmosphere was great, service was very good and the food was amazing! I don't think I ever had a better steak in my life!! And honestly it didn't cost as much as I thought, I been to other restaurants that wasn't half as good as this place and it cost more! I can't wait to go back!
Our steaks were overcooked they put too much seasoning. My wife couldn't even eat her steak at all so all she had was a potato, which was not very good at all. This is about the worst food we've had since we've gone there.

I always thoroughly enjoy the Mariner I was taken out there on a date for my birthday tonight. The service was excellent the food was excellent and the wine was excellent! We started with the crab and corn bisque soup, did a spring salad with feta cheese and honey mustard, and my meal was the most delicious seafood platter cooked to perfection! The breaded coating on the fried items was just so delish, I just can't even tell ya.... They have a really nice selection of steaks out there, as well as bird, oysters, seafood, soups, pasta selections, salads & great appetizers also.Parking: I have a huge parking lot with tons of parking that overlooks the beautiful Sibley Lake, along with outside seating/tables, nice walkways also.Kid-friendliness: AbsolutelyWheelchair accessibility: Absolutely

The food quality has gone down a bit. The fish still had fat on it that hadn't been cut prior to frying, my steak tasted like it had been dropped in fish before being grilled, our fried alligator tasted very fishy, and my daughter's burger was very over-seasoned. Disappointing considering the amount of money we spent.
