I got a double bacon cheese burger on Sunday evening because all other homemade burger locations were closed nearby. Let me tell you! I am so glad I did! The burger was absolutely delicious and they did this cool thing with the bacon where it was circular like a patty so that I doesn't stick out the sides. I came the next day and was happy to see they have plate lunches! Real Cajun food for the authentic Cajun experience!!
Straight hole in the wall Creole place that is dynamite. Pretty sure it was something else in the past (based on the architecture), but now they are slinging some damn fine food. On a recent visit with a customer (who lives in the area and recommended the place) I got some gumbo and a half grilled shrimp Po-boy. Best fried shrimp in New Iberia hands down. Old time batter and great flavor. No frills atmosphere but clean...and the food is awesome. Usually go to Center street location. Call ahead and ready in 20 minutes.
