Great meal and excellent service. Beautiful interior with good acoustics for conversation even with a full house. Will try to stop in at least for cocktails and dessert whenever I’m in town. Charming maître d’ makes this the kind of place I’d like to be a regular.

We had a meal with friends at Annunciation Restaurant and could not be more pleased. The decor in the restaurant is very nice, with several large paintings by local artists on the walls. The service is friendly and very attentive from the bar tenders to our table servers. The soft shell crab and garlic and egg plant soup were very good.Vegetarian options: Some non meat dishesDietary restrictions: Staff will attempt to assist with any restrictions you make them aware ofParking: Lots of parking in areaKid-friendliness: More an adult environmentWheelchair accessibility: Downstairs fully accessible

The food was … mediocre to poor for New Orleans. And overpriced. The plating was poor… huge plates, tiny servings, nothing occupying the huge white space. It looked nothing like the photos. I was with a group of 8, so maybe that was the problem? the filets were dry and almost flavorless. The vegetable that came with the fish was literally 3 small slices of zucchini (nothing else occupying the rest of the massive plate), and the soup of the day was such that no one in our group finished it. The garlic soup was OK. The chicken Marsala got me a little tipsy it had so much wine in it, but the chicken was very tender. Overall, for the cost, it was not good value. The service was fine, they werepresent with no personality. The old fashioned was cloudy and the sweetest old fashioned I have ever had. I got a second to see if it was better and only took a sip, because it was the same candy in a glass. The group agreed. All of these are fixable things but I’d go to any of a dozen other places before I go back, considering the cost.

You wish this was your local restaurant. You wish you could afford it to be your local restaurant. Nothing was surprising, but everything was really nice done. We were very casually dressed and tired and we didn't order much (two salads, gumbo & etouffee), but we were treated well and had a good meal. We've spent more for a (bigger) forgettable lunch in this town, so we went away happy.

Chill place, good food, hilarious staff. The duck was good, the pasta a bit too salty. Delicious bread.

Recently had dinner here for NYE celebration. The restaurant is charming and the wait staff very welcoming. This menu was prix fixe and the value was good. The food was good, but not really excellent. Our meal started with a nice appetizer - bruschetta with tasty tomato puree/sauteed veggies. We then had the oyster rockerfellar soup - ordinary and would not order this item again . For the entre everyone chose the pan roasted drum, which again was rather ordinary. Dessert was the best part of the meal - ice cream with berries and tiramisu. We have eaten here before and had similar experience. This restaurant's strengths are its charm and welcoming staff. Also it is a bit difficult to park after dark.

The gumbo was good. Most items tried were cooked well but lacked flavor. Service was great. Skip the cocktails and get wine instead.

Really really disappointed in this establishment. We came all the way from Florida and were recommended this restaurant by our in laws. When arrived for NYE dinner we were blindsided with a prefix menu that was not advertised on the website as being the only option for food. It would be one thing if they were showcasing a few of their tried and true favorites from their menu- but it was completely different food all together. All of it was frankly- pretty bad. The amose bouche was very basic bruchetta. We ordered the ravioli, the bbq shrimp, the salad, and the gumbo for our second course. For main dishes we ordered the eggplant Capri, chicken Capri, the pork, and the fish. It was very clearly scoop and dump premade cafeteria style food to make it come out faster. Across the board we agreed food was under seasoned and poorly cooked. The risotto was hard, the shrimp was burned. What really grinded my gears the most was I, as a vegetarian, was really excited to see options clearly marked with a (V) to let me know which options were safe for me to order. When my eggplant arrived it was covered in crawfish! I was shocked because it is a vegetarian dish and it definitely did not have crawfish in the description!! Makes me wonder if their chef is brand new. I had to send it back. By the time I got my new, crawfish free eggplant, my party had already finished eating. My husband’s chicken Capri was the thinnest piece of chicken I’ve ever seen in my life, and 99% breading. Both the eggplant and chicken capris were incredibly salty- it was basically the only flavor you could taste. Our servers had to be called over to us each time- they never checked on us. The inside is nice, Christmas decor was cute. We spoke to the restaurant manager and he was flippant- he asked what website we looked at to not see their pre fix menu. What website? Yours! The place we made our reservations. Later we saw they had posted something on Facebook. Wild to me that they expect customers to hunt down all their social media pages to know what we’re getting in to. After alcohol and food it was $350 before tip for amateur hour at a cafeteria line. Won’t be back for a pre fix anytime soon, hopefully their regular menu is better!Vegetarian options: don’t trust their vegetarian options! they may sneak meat into it like they did to me.
