This is a secret about which I am glad someone told me. It's your basic sandwich shop: walk up counter, order for take out or dine in. The place is nice and the seating is all booths.BUT, the best part is ALL the other stuff which is available. King crab, blue crab, shrimp, boiled (in crab boil) sausage - corn - potatos... On and on. It smells so good in there it makes me want to work there.Also, I go about once every 2 weeks for a take out shrimp Po boy. It's delicious and is ready in 5 minutes or less every time. Astounding.

This place has one of the best gumbo I have ever eaten! I’m not local though, we were visiting Nola and we googled it a gumbo location near by and this one popped up and let me tell you, YUMMY!!!!***adding** the fried rice!!! You gotta try the fried rice!!

I am new to New Orleans and was getting my car fixed across the street at Smiling Chuck’s and Chuck recommended C&A to grab a bite while I wait. He said it was great food and I wasn’t disappointed!!! I brought home some gumbo and shrimp etouffee and it was incredible!!!!

The staff here are VERY rude! It was my first time ordering here and I placed a phone order. When I got to the place, the cashier (a man) told me my price and proceeded to give me my food. Once I heard the price, I’m thinking to myself they must have gotten something wrong. When I saw my meal, it was not what I had ordered. I told the cashier that there must have been a mix up over the phone, because my order was wrong. He told me that he was not going to change the order because it was “already made”. He said I still had to pay. I told him no of course. He got an attitude and said he wasn’t going to fix my order. Y’all….all I had was a hot sausage poboy. I asked for it on a bun, and they gave it to me on a 12inch! What I’m gone do with that!? The sandwich could have easily just been cut in half. Why would I pay $19 when WHAT I ORDERED was only $9 ?!If you want good service, don’t go here go somewhere else!
