I really like this little place. Their food is priced well. It is a takeout hot food lunch and breakfast restaurant. The hot sausages on croissant breakfast sandwich is wonderful and I love the seafood plates on Friday. Everyone who works there is very friendly and personable. They also have a salad bar that you pay by the ounce. I have not yet had the salad because post Covid I don't think I'll ever eat anything buffet style again but to each their own. If you're in the area you should check it out!

First surprise was the nakedness of the plate. They had already switched to smaller ones a couple of years back. Now plate almost looks bigger because there isn't much in it! Ordered a shrimp plate... In it was some shrimp, enough fries to fill in the bottom. The fries were "off".. flat tasting... had to smother in ketchup. NO BREAD...NO SALAD that was it... for almost $14.00 ..and it was just mediocre.Vegetarian options: not much to say

Hidden gem in an office building. Great to escape the conference crowds at the two Hyatt hotels and also to get good value. Seems like it is mostly area office staff patronizing.

One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. Do yourself a favor and don't go here

Nice staff. True New Orleans local inexpensive lunch fare. Salad bar, fruits, drinks, sandwiches to order and select hot lunches. No eat in, takes credit cards. Under the same roof as Hyatt, Entergy Building and of course 1250 Poydras (its on the ground floor)

This place is in the building next to the one where I work and I was delighted to discover this little spot to add to the limited options in the immediate vicinity. It was cash only, but there is a Whitney ATM outside this building and Chase ATM right next door. Update: they've recently starting taking credit cards with a $5 minimum. The prices are pretty low for the area and the ladies that work there are super nice. They do breakfast and lunch with hot food being served until 1:45 and closing at 2:30. I've tried their breakfast sandwiches, club sandwich, red beans and rice, baked chicken, plenty of their fresh cut fruit, and their salad bar. All the food is pretty decent, even if it's nothing gourmet.

No dining in here. This is strictly a "to go" restaurant only. Chef's sandwich is literally a hole in the wall located at 1250 Poydras St. at the intersection of Poydras & Loyola Ave in the CBD. It's tucked away in the corner of the 1st floor behind the Whitney Bank and caters to this particular office building and a few others in the gerneral vicinity who are lucky enough to have heard about this place. The "storefront" is probably less than 200 square feet, and consists of a salad bar, a few drink coolers and the counter where they serve hot lunches and sandwiches. You'd never guess that this place would be cranking up such great dishes like stuffed bell peppers, etouffe and gumbo. Everything I have tried here is delicious, to include the sandwiches. My favorite would have to be the baked chicken breast sandwich on toast, which is piled high with approximately 2-3 inches of chicken. They also feature freshly baked cakes for dessert. The most popular ones seem to be the carrot cake and the chocolate cake with chocolate icing and chocolate chunks on top. The only thing I have not tried yet is the salad bar. However, it's a popular choice among the patrons I see there.
