What a gem! Great authentic Honduran food. Very good service and fair prices. We tried a cross section of the menu and everything was excellent. I personally like some spice but with flavor, not just heat. This was exactly what I was looking for. Excellent.

Hidden gem of the city This is the third weekend we visit Tia Maria's with my family. We have loved every dish we have tried! The service is friendly and very welcoming. The open kitchen concept gives you a sense of comfort that everything is fresh and handled with care. This restaurant offers dishes that aren't commonly found in other restaurants, like the sopa de frijol and Hígado Plato. The pupusa sandwich is a must try! ALL the aguas frescas are on point! Especially the horchata and moracuya

The food was awesome, the service was great and the place was clean. I saw people eating these huge bowls of soup. That seemed really popular. The portions were large and very good. I recommend the carne assada and the dried cheese. The empanadas were really good as well.

Tried this place for the first time tonight & everything I ordered was delicious! Even something as simple as their white rice was amazing! Will definitely go back to try more items.

The best Honduran spot you'll find anywhere around! Tortillas and pupusas are made fresh in house right in front of you. The breakfast pupusa sandwich I had was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had anywhere honestly. Egg over easy cooker to perfection, with the chorizo and avocado, and fried plantains on the side, come on! Great portions, affordable, and a great staff. This place is the real deal!

I was really excited to try this place out. I was hoping for authentic, something that would remind me of home (El Salvador). But it was extremely disappointing. Ridiculously overpriced for tiny portions, especially for them to taste nothing like real Mexican or Latin-American food.

Ordered food from here because obv it's delicious. A dasher brought me the wrong food on accident. I get it's his fault but this place on the phone told me that they'll reMAKE the food I originally ordered and if I get up and go pick it up they'll give me a discount. Sad to see a business lie but I got there and they made me pay full price at midnight after I drove out the way to them. Kept saying sorry but sorry doesn't make you look better, last time you'll get me as a client and bet I'll let every person I know know about this. I'm a server and the restaurant I work at - we will remake orders at NO COST to keep their customers happy. Ew Not cool

I will be returning to this clean, friendly spot often! Ordered 2 typicale desayuno plates and next time, I'll know to just order one to split b/t me and my hubby (because it's a huge, generous portion)! I only took off one star b/c I am VERY picky about my black beans. These are ok. I prefer the Cuban style black beans with a bit more spice.

Such a great breakfast. Horchata is different with more of a peanut flavor, the best I've ever had even across many spots in NY and NJ. Desayuno was huge almost enough for two but we finished! We got extra sides of yuca and maduro. Coffee was great. Very clean and fast service. Definitely coming back again

The food here is consistently wonderful- even our picky toddler tried a bite of everything on our last visit! The dining area is very casual and clean and has a decent amount of tables. Perfect for a quick and delicious lunch or dinner for a family! Street parking only, but we've never had an issue getting a spot close by.

Everything was delicious, the prices are reasonable, but it takes a little bit of time to get the order, probably because it was in rush dinner.

Literally the best baleada I have ever had. Beautifully balanced, salty, acidic and slightly fatty. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. This is a meal I will think about, again and again. Already wishing I could go back. A must have in New Orleans.

Such amazing food and service! A cute family restaurant with truly typical Honduran food. Absolutely one of the best places in NOLA. Went two days in a row and really enjoyed every dish I tried. I would absolutely recommend getting the agua fresca de nances.
