I had the grits, gravy, fried chicken (theigh) biscuit and poached eggs. I think it's called the Rise and Shine. Gravy was garlicky and flavorful. Chicken was well seasoned and super crisp. The biscuit was big and lite and fluffy, so good. Service was friendly and helpful. Really good breakfast.

Food was AMAZING!! We had a biscuit with pimento cheese, the biscuit was buttery, soft, and crispy, the pimento cheese was creamy and flavorful. We also had the brisket grits, the grits were cooked perfectly, and the brisket had amazing flavor. The brisket melted in my mouth and had a wonderful smoky flavor. The egg was also cooked perfectly, the hot sauce and green onions made the bowl perfectly balanced. I was most impressed by the biscuit, because it was undeniably perfect. It’s competitive to serve southern food in NOLA, but I was completely impressed by both of these plates. The service was also good, the man who made our food was very kind, he brought our food to us and checked in on our table. HIGHLY recommend!!

Two pieces of chicken (one thigh, one tender) and a biscuit for $12. If you’re going to charge that much for chicken you should fry it to order, there was no line, no other customers and it wouldn’t take that long since there are no bones in it. Chicken was extremely dry and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. You can get better chicken at Popeyes for less than half of the price.The butter that came with my biscuit SMELT LIKE BLUE CHEESE and was almost completely transparent. The biscuit was decent but still tasted like old shortening.So disappointing especially with these reviews. The guy who helped me was super nice. That’s the only reason why this isn’t a one star review.

Ordered the Fried Chicken Poboy, and the Boudin Eggrolls.The Chicken was crispy not overly, served on Gambino French bread, which is a softer bread than the usual poboys in town. This resulted in a very biteable sandwich. The poboy accompanies, sweet pickles, arugula with spicy mayo. In other words, Delicious!My choice of side was Mac and cheese. Oooey gooey cheesiness. A big yum.The Boudin egg roll, is exactly that, boudin rolled in an wonton egg wrap and deep fried. Comes with your choice of dipping sauce, they have 9 to choose from.

We visited New Orleans and Fried&True was highly recommended so we had to try it. The food was amazing and well presented. The flavor was everything I’ve heard about the food of New Orleans. The price was right, the atmosphere was wonderful and Fried & True will be on my agenda for our next visit to New Orleans.( Chicken and Pimento Cheese….you can’t go wrong! )
