Very rude staff. Food was great. Ungracious Bakery is more like it. I was told to never come back.

They say southern hospitality is a thing, not at this place. Nothing "gracious" will be found here. Rude employees and zero soap in the employee/customer restrooms. Also, their coffee blows. Go to Le Pettit Bleu instead.

Gracious Bakery on Pyrtania.......WTF!!!!!! The woman behind the counter talks on her cell phone with it on SPEAKER!!! A couple of weeks ago I came here for the first time. I thought, "What the hell.. who does that." So today I chose this place again to get away from home and do some work. I thought before I came, "I hope that employee isn't there because I don't want to hear her conversation and bitching to her girlfriend. When I walked in and saw her I was like damn it. I didn't want to go to another coffee shop since this one is close. I almost walked out when I saw her but thought people deserve second chances and the benefit of the doubt. There were 4 tables of people on laptops and a family. I noticed several people look up at her probably wondering what the hell. When customers were in line she still had the conversation going on speaker and said, "hold on" to the person on the other line. I don't want to hear about her mother's funeral or in her words," she has the same kind of hairstyle with different hair" and "lettme do my side work, the only thing I wanna do at 6:00 is count this drawer." Also, online the closing time says 9:00 Pm and she says they close at 6:00 pm. Despite all this she got the job done... handed me my pastry and made my coffee. But the cell phone use is appalling!!!!!

King cake was horrible. Dry and burnt. Wasted $40.

I enjoyed coffee and a gluten free snack in their outdoor area, taking in the feel of the Garden District and chatting with a lovely local.Dietary restrictions: They had gluten free options!

I came here bc the reviews were great. The girl at the register was nice...that's it! I got my bagel first. As you can see the love (exaggerating). The bagel tasted rubbery and cold. I got my coffee 15 mins later bc the coffee girl with the winter hat served everyone else after me first, which the coffee I got tasted nasty. The caramel was cold and I couldn't stir it. The older lady who made my bagel and the coffee chick had no type of customer service etiquette. Please don't waste your money going here. I was a little surprised actually I heard the New Orleans residents and businesses were so nice...I'm just thinking it's just this little coffee shop.

Stopped in before catching a tour of the Garden District. So glad we did. The donuts, egg sandwiches AND the baguette were all so delicious. The staff was so very friendly, even when we spilled some water. (So sorry.)Highly recommended.

Slow service. They didn't have my order (just a coffee). After 25 minutes when I asked if it was lost they said yes and then proceeded to make four coffees in front of my forgotten order. Coffee taste was a D- too.

I really wanted to like Gracious Bakery. I pass it all the time on the streetcar and from the outside it looks really inviting. The food is good and the atmosphere is not bad. Unfortunately the service is nonexistent. The two staff members mostly stay hidden, which is likely best. If they have received any training it is not apparent. No greeting of clients or any acknowledgment they are present. I never heard a thank you to any client in the time I was there. Not a very gracious bakery.Vegetarian options: Some non-meat itemsDietary restrictions: Food is already prepared, check before orderingParking: Some street parking on the areaKid-friendliness: Children welcomeWheelchair accessibility: Some what accessible, restrooms a bit tough

Just had the worst experience. Ordered and paid for an apple pie on Nov 10th only to be told at 1:30 the day before thanksgiving when I went to pick up that they ran out!!!! They offered a pecan pie but the host already had a pecan pie. Don’t count on them to come through.

Decent coffee good pastriesIt a shame that the service is so poorThe cashier was not pleasant and seem annoyed. We tipped to later pick up our own coffee and were then asked to pick up our cups from the table

Service was good. The food tasted excellent, quaint little setting in the garden district.
