Just no. When it first opened it was decent. Now?......just no. Tables are too close together, portions are small. Just no. Not for me.

Visited this place last night, the food portions didn’t match up with price. I ordered a fried catfish and shrimp plate and only received one skinny filet of catfish and 4 micro shrimp. If you go to any other restaurant in New Orleans they stack the plates up with food for an affordable price. High for nothing the only thing I can say was decent was the oysters, nice size and that’s about it. Felt like I was at a poor Piccadilly’s.

I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 5 because there was a strand of hair in my potatoes and they were nonchalant about it. I got no apology, no I"ll comp your potatoes. Instead I got a ooohhh... I'll get you some new ones. In general the customer service was the greatest and needs some improvement.

I placed a phone order and waited almost 45 minutes to an hour for my order. All I ordered was just a hot sausage poboy.....This is ridiculous!! When I asked how long my order will be, the waitress just walked off without answering the question.

I don't know if our server had a bad morning but this was the first time I can say I was disappointed with the service.I will still recommend Neyow's.. I'll try again soon.

Amazing food. Well worth the trolley ride from FQ. The best gumbo I had while in NOLA, although I would recommend getting the larger bowl, as the cups were rather small. My wife had perfectly done fried chicken and I had the delicious shrimp creole. And of course, we had to try the infamous Bow Wow, which absolutely lives up to its hype. The hostess was super friendly, we had a nice chat about her goal to travel to all 50 states. Our server was laid back, but attentive and competent. We were there on a Sunday evening, so the wait was not long, but for us, there was actually no wait because (I don't think they advertise this, but) although they don't take reservations, you can go online and get onto a waitlist. Five stars - I nicked one star off for "atmosphere" only because the sound system was so loud, it was a little hard to converse. Eat at Neyow's. You'll thank me (and many others!)

The Shrimp Creole was superb and the Southern Fries Chicken was excellent. Our server was a bit unfriendly so that dampened our experience but the food was awesome.

UPDATE 2022:We came back to NOLA for this establishments Bow Wow as it is a staple at this Neyow's in New Orleans. We have one in Atlanta, but it misses several marks and needs to revamp and get some much needed tips from the originators. Go enjoy but pack your patience as they stay crowded and wait times can vary. Put your name on the wait list (unfortunately they've gotten hip with putting your name on the waitlist without physically being present) and venture to the bar and grab your PreGame drink (Bow Wow) and sip and enjoy those you plan on dining with. Makes the time go by faster. I guess for now until ours in Atlanta gets their stuff together, I'll be making a pilgrimage to this one annually.ORIGINAL REVIEW 2021 The food was really good as well as their signature drink "The Bow Wow". I love that you can walk around with your drinks in NOLA but I guess this does effect the potency as you don't want people to be overtly drunk walking around so don't be intimidated by the size. We had the pasta dishes as well (1 chicken 1 shrimp). Their Alfredo sauce had the flavor of New Orleans. It was great just the right amount of spice. When going, join the wait list via Yelp so you can be on the list while you're en route to the restaurant. Makes waiting a lot more tolerable for many of the restaurants in NOLA.
