I walk by this place all the time on my way to get food or when walking the dog, but I finally had a chance to go in. What an amazing neighborhood joint! Probably my favorite for a multi-block radius. Had a bunch of out of town relatives in and I was looking for a place that didn't feel like yet another college dive bar, and this was a great after-dinner spot to visit. I've been here a handful of times...a good place to wait for the laundry cycle down the street. Have only been here early day or evening and it was all local and older crowd . Very congenial and no frills. Imagine the late college crowd would be a whole different story....

Redd's is the perfect neighborhood bar. The decor is classic wood and brick that has a real comfortable feel. On Friday's during the season they boil crawfish and they have a great recipe. The price is fair market value or better and worth every penny. The staff are polite and attentive. I highly recommend this tavern.
