Popped in here for a drink prior to our dinner next door at Zasu. We loved it! The ambiance and decor is lovely. The drinks are incredibly well crafted. The owner is lovely as well! This is truly a family owned and run business. We loved chatting with them. I tend to judge places by how well kept the restrooms are - they didn't let me down here. Super clean and well maintained. We didn't grab food, but the people sitting next to us at the bar had the most amazing looking burger. We were only in town for work, but if I was local this would be my regular spot! Highly recommend!

The owner Chris is a genuine bartending guru and has trained some of the best bartenders around the country. Revel is worth it for the drinks alone but the food is excellent. Small menu but everything is done just right. Great deviled eggs, burger, salad. This is secret diamond in the rough.

My brother and I attended Chris' Cocktail Class last Friday. Both of us are big fans, and to have 3 hours of time with a man we consider to be one of the greatest living bartenders in the U.S. (if not the world), it was a privilege, educational, and a great time. Chris' breadth of knowledge is exceptional, and he and his wife Laura are fantastic people. I highly recommend taking one of his classes, and if you haven't been to Revel, you're missing out. I will be back -- for drinks, food and classes!

Revel is one of our favorites, and it should be yours, too. They are grinding prime brisket and choice chuck for their burger patties. Incredible flavor. Their frites are made in the Belgian tradition, with fresh potatoes, peeled and fried in Wagyu beef tallow and served with homemade aioli. OMG, so good! And Chris is one of the top mixologists (if not the top) in the City, which puts him at world class. Ask him to make you something special, describe what you have a flavor hankering for, and be amazed. Or get what you think is the traditional "standard" of any drink, and taste the difference (and why if you are curious). They run this as a couple and anyone and everyone is welcome. Highly recommend. (parking can be difficult, but go around the block behind the bank and you can usually find a few spots)

We found the Revel late and hungry after a day of travel. Opened the door and asked it they were still open and cooking. Little did we know we were speaking to the owner. She invited us in fed us and shared information about her city. Great food, great atmosphere and amazing drinks. Have zazarac you won't be disappointed!

It was so much fun to sit in this local bar and chat with the owner. She makes the best whiskey sours and zasaracs in town. The food there is good also. It's a great local low key place if you just want to hang out and visit with locals. Take the time to pull on the door. Sometimes it looks like they're not open.

Chris and his wife have an amazing bar program. Even better than their drinks, they are incredible hosts. They come from an extensive and warm background in hospitality. Enjoy the four-part cocktail menu printed on beautiful cloth paper. Not pretentious, just a signal of their attention to detail and sensory experience. Chris has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the art & industry of spirits and cocktails. Fascinating to learn from.
