We had to wait for about 15 minutes to get the table, not too bad. It is easier to make a reservation to avoid waiting. Very nice ambience in the place. Interesting food choices and very tasty. The only thing I did not like was very small amount of wine per serving. Place is few blocks away from French quarters but not too far to walk.

Seed was one of two restaurants I bookmarked consisting of vegan gumbo within a radius of my hotel. Being a vegetarian, the vegan gumbo was a must have on what was my weekend getaway in celebration of my birthday. What became my decision maker to visit was how their vegan gumbo appeared in pictures shared on Yelp. As for my visit, I was acknowledged immediately after walking in the door. In order to dine-in, I was required to show proof of vaccination status which I had a snapshot of in my phone. Once confirmed, the waiter took me to a peaceful area in the dining room to be seated as well as take my order once I got settled in. Seed appears as a fine dining style of restaurant with an intimate vibe. I loved how items are labeled on their menu giving an idea of what it consists of whether it be gluten free, soy, peanut, tree nut, etc. It made my day to see beignets on the menu which was recommended by a coworker of mine, and a Yelper that I am connected with. Another item that kept catching my eye was the cauliflower katsu which I must have on another date. I ended up ordering the mushroom gumbo with beignets, and a margarita in celebration of my birthday. I figured why not with the margarita. You only live once! And I remembered that I have only had one margarita in my lifetime. The mushroom gumbo smelled wonderful! And its taste was as satisfying as I anticipated it to be after seeing pictures on Yelp. I enjoyed the beignets to the point where I ate them all before finishing my mushroom gumbo, hehe. Best believe I will be on the lookout for them in Chicago now that I have finally had them. The waiter checked on me off-and-on in-between assisting others in the dining area. In those moments I was either stuffing a beignet in my mouth or had a spoonful of mushroom gumbo up to it. My only acknowledgement was me mumbling "Good" with a thumbs up. I had the biggest smirk on my face while sipping my margarita and listening to 'I Put A Spell On You' by Creedence Clearwater Revival playing in the background. I had a pleasant ordering experience with Seed. Not only was it my first taste of vegan gumbo, and beignets, but the restaurant served as part of my birthday celebration in the city. I would surely visit Seed again during any of my ventures to New Orleans. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

Seed is a great restaurant. It has a nice ambiance - it almost feels like someplace fancy, but the food prices are very reasonable. I do not normally eat vegan food, but the food was delicious and filling. The vegan beignet was delicious!

Quite possibly the best plant based meal I've ever had! It was so hard to pick what I wanted to get! The mushroom gumbo was savory and spicy. The "pork belly" bao buns were fluffy and crispy and flavorful. The sense & sensibility cocktail was bright and refreshing. And the vibe of the place is great!

What a bummer. I've read rave reviews and was so excited to order for lunch via Uber eats. The cauliflower wings were solid. Not shockingly good but 4/5. The noodle salad was truly dismal. The noodles were tough and rubbery, the dressing was very watery, avocado was long since past it's prime and more gray than green, and I had exactly half of one cherry tomato. The mushrooms on top as the meat substitute were inedibly salty. One of the worst salads I've had in memory. With such great food in the area and limited time to try out places, I won't be back.

All the stars for being a super cool spot, but I was left wanting more out of my meal. DEFINITELY go try it, but for the entire table the cauliflower is what stole the show and OH WAS IT GOOD! I wanted a little more fluff in the bignet, but it was all good because I got all the clouds I could want with my danky drink. I'd drop by again to see if I was wrong but otherwise might just chill at their cool bar. Happy Munchies, @aVeganAndHer

Highly recommend the carrot and avocado tacos (not entirely filling but delicious, so order two)! Liked the artichoke falafel but fresno sauce felt more sweet than spicy? The aioli might be better on top instead. Hope to return to try the cashew queso one day.

Service was friendly and the food was phenomenally delicious! Next door to a vegan-artist gallery, in a beautiful neighborhood. Vegan New Orleans is alive and thriving!

Seed was the first place I went to eat when I arrived in New Orleans, and it's going to be hard to beat! I actually don't know if I want to go anywhere else because it was THAT good.Seth greeted me when I walked in, and was so friendly. I asked him what his favorite menu item was, and he told me that it was the Tofu "Pork Belly" Bao. So, I ordered that, along with the Chips & Cashew Queso.Everything was so, so delicious. The tofu was the crispiest I've ever had, and the blend of the flavors was amazing. It's probably worth noting that I have COVID-19 Long Haul and my taste has been muted for over a year now. There are many things that I cannot taste well, but I could taste EVERYTHING I ordered at Seed, which was really just incredible and so exciting. For dessert, I ordered the Banana Sundae, which was a great way to cap off the meal.I will absolutely be back before I depart New Orleans, and I can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Ordered delivery and it was no more than half an hour to food in my hand at my hotel which was great. I had the noodle salad, which had exceptional flavor, but was missing the avocado. I also had the cucumber salad which was bland. My husband ordered the eggplant shawarma which he said was excellent but could have had more sauce. Overall we think this was very good value for money and very tasty.

Got the Cauliflower Katsu Sandwich. really crispy and it def is my go-to sandwich that i just feel like treating myself to if i'm craving something fried. *Con: It kinda got too much oil sometimes. I gotta use papers to dap it dry. But i still think it's good lol. Only thing that I ordered here that I wasn't a big fan of was the chia pudding. Maybe it's just me but it didn't taste good to me. But overall, great vegan restaurant

The food here is immaculate, although a limited selection (small menu). But we all found something amazing and none of it disappointed. The bao was epic and the beignets were everything my vegan heart dreamt of when arriving in Nola.

Fantastic vegan food! Great vibe inside the restaurant and friendly service. I spent one week in NOLA and this was probably my favorite restaurant experience!

Omg food so delicious! I'm not vegan but I'm always open to trying new things. The food here had such good flavor. I will be back for sure! Mushroom tostada was probably my favorite

Wish we have more time in New Orleans and actually eat here. We only ordered some food to go and the beignet was delicious! I most definitely enjoy it. Glad to find a vegan version. We also have some gumbo which was very flavorful. It seems like a cute date place.
