This shop is delightful! The pies are stellar, from sweet to savory. We visited from KC and stayed across the street, were able to visit a few times. The hand pies are insanely good, unlike anything we have at home, unfortunately! We bought several mini-pies to take to a family dinner and all were a huge hit. The owners are great. Thank you!

The customer service is so pleasant and though I am not a big "pie" gal in the traditional sense, I really enjoy the savory hand pies and quiches! I appreciate the rotating seasonal flavors; keeps me coming back!

If you like pie, you NEED to visit Windowsill Pies in New Orleans. As an avid home baker and foodie, I've been following them on Instagram for about a year now, and decided to finally take a trip to New Orleans and try their pies myself (they do not ship pies). In a foodie paradise like New Orleans, the bar is high and Windowsill Pies more than exceeds it. Absolutely worth a short trip outside the usual New Orleans tourist spots. Arrived mid-morning on Wednesday, to the delightfully bright-colored, quaint little shop. Skipped breakfast (and later lunch) just so we could sample almost all they had to offer. Co-owner Marielle Dupré, was friendly, gracious and incredibly helpful. In addition to her baking skills, also makes excellent espresso-based drinks. Try the honey latte. We literally worked our way through almost their entire display case. Pie flights really should be a thing. Windowsill Pies does an amazing job sourcing local, fresh, seasonal ingredients, so their menu changes with the seasons. The case was the embodiment of Fall, filled with creations made with apple, pumpkin and nuts. Windowsill Pies prides itself on being "Southern styled, French inspired and New Orleans baked" and it shows in each slice. The quality, craftsmanship and uniqueness in their pies is unparalleled. Started with their signature vanilla bean bourbon pecan pie. Made with butter browned with vanilla beans, Steen's cane syrup and Maker's mark, this is not your grandmama's pie nor is it the sticky sweet store-bought you might have settled for. Perfect blend of nutty and sweetness. Next up was Apple Frangipane tart. Honestly never had anything like it. A delicate blend of apple and almond flavors in a buttery tart crust. This was my husband's favorite. On to the gingered pumpkin tart with candied pepitas. Creamy with just the right hint of ginger. Round 2 was hand pies. While the Croque Madame were already sold out, the winter root vegetable more than made up for it. Comfort food that fits in your hand, the flavors packed in this small bite were sensational. The apple cheddar was filled with apples perfectly baked and a sharp cheddar with just the right punch. Our last bites in the store were of the almond laced apple pie. And while we were absolutely stuffed by this point, it was worth every bite. In addition to grabbing some merch (perfect for some out of state friends), we grabbed the most adorable and decadent mini chocolate tarts with Earl Grey caramel. We also bought one of the most gorgeous chicken pot pies I've ever seen. Reheated for dinner, it was flaky, savory perfection. Cannot recommend this place enough. Hope to be back again soon to try more of their incredible creations.

Such good pie. Great service too. This is your sign to walk over to Windowsill Pies and get yourself a breakfast slice! Great way to start your day.Local business, great quality. They do not accept Apple Pay, so keep that in mind.

Some of the best pie we've ever had. The service was prompt and friendly. It's a small space but cozy, clean and cool and pleasant. All together, we tried five menu items:Southwest Scramble Hand Pie: Savory and satisfying. Nice texture, easy to eat. Just the right amount of filling. The crust was buttery and delicious.Strawberry Cream Cheese Hand Pie: Bright and tart and sweet. Easy to eat without spilling. And that buttery delicious crust! Good filling-to-crust ratio.Earl Grey Caramel Tart: Interesting, slightly unusual, and very tasty. The tea gave an almost herbal flavor but was not overwhelming. I liked it more with each bite. Very rich--we got the two minis instead of a whole tart and it was a perfect amount.Key Lime Pie: Some places inexplicably make Key lime pie with eggs, which I don't care for. This one was NOT eggy, thank goodness. Very bright and refreshing. I have no complaints.Apple Frangipane Tart: This was the standout for me. Perfect almond flavor. Not excessively sweet (none of our pies were), just a perfect amount. A bit fruity, a bit almondy, a nice satisfying bite. If I had time to go back, I would order this!We forgot to take pictures--we just couldn't wait to eat our pie.

Don't think I have ever had pie that was more delicious than the two I had from Windowsill. The fruit is exquisite. The cherry pie we bought yesterday morning is almost gone - and there are just 2 of us. Can't give them enough praise. The crust is delish, light, and festive. Will be back for more...

Such a cute little place! Great ambiance. They host events like Poetry Readings, and the staff is quite knowledgeable. I asked for a little sweetener in my iced coffee, and the staff informed me about the semi-sweetened vanilla that is already included in the drink and takes the edge off. It really was perfect. The only bummer I had was the size of the individual slices of pie. I bought key lime and peanut butter slices, and at $8 a piece, I was hoping for something a bit more substantial. Both were great flavors, but not enough for me to justify going back for the cost. Good experience overall, but definitely pricey.

A memorable slice of key lime pie.

Had the most wonderful lunch and dessert pies today at Windowsill. We will be stopping in again.

We didn’t have time to visit the store on our visit but we ordered in via DoorDash and the pies were just exquisite. The pecan pie really is to die for.

Raspberry passion fruit tart was phenomenal Also tried the blueberry honey lavender and the key lime pie and these are hands down the best pies I've ever tasted!

Such an adorable little pie shop! The bourbon pecan pie is a staple here. And they have really cute little knickknacks/gifts.
