“I have to say, I love a restaurant that makes you feel very welcome from the time you enter. Torito Grill does not disappoint in this regard. The owners and wait staff are very personable and engaging! They really seem to want to get it right! Its my experience that happy owners foster a happy working environment and I have to say it shows! While the restaurant could use some updates, its is clean. And while it is ridiculously difficult to stand out in a market saturated with mexican/latino cuisine these guys actually pull it off! Not being a chain allows for more home made offering that may well surprise you. I hope the family vibe of this place continues as their success grows.”

“The burgers are HUGEEEEE! I’m not exaggerating. The fries are good. The only thing that the food is missing is seasoning. They don’t season anything at all. Not even salt and pepper.”

“It was a bit messy that the bathroom had toilet tissue all over the floor, and one stall had no paper at all. The workers were quite pleasant, and when informed of the bathroom, they went right away to fix it. Order was taken and served with wonder smiling service.”

“Feb 9, 2024…..after a long @$$ Friday at work in MS and a two hour drive home the ol’lady said she wanted Taco Bell….it was obvious right from the start that the employees scheduled tonight we’re having fun on the job…. I even had to say “Who Dat Say Dey’gonna Beat Dem Saints” through the drive through speaker…..and it just happened to be the freshest and tastiest Taco Bell we EVER ate. Good conversation at the window as well about good vibes at work resulting in high productivity and top notch goods! Coincidence??? I don’t think not….I KNOW not. I hope that corporate or the private franchise owners see this REVIEW and give praise to whoever was on schedule tonight and their manager. This is how you succeed! Big props to the Taco Bell team in Pearl River, LA tonight!! Y’all can work for me anytime! Stay up!!!!”

“Absolutely phenomenal! Don’t be confused by the inauthentic imitators. The tortillas are excellent, the meats are seasoned and cooked to perfection. Best Mexican food I’ve had since arriving in Louisiana. This place beats out Johnny Sanchez in NOLA and every other place. Great food.”

“We moved here in September and never knew about this amazing Cuban restaurant. I got to enjoy a mojito flight with four different flavors and an appetizer sampler. Of course, I forgot to take pictures of the yummy sandwiches. The food is delish! I took a slice of tres leches home with me! For local people, if you don’t know about this place, it’s definitely a worthy visit. We will absolutely be back soon. The people there are friendly and amazing! I also love their decor! ❤️”

“I was at the Harbor Food truck Festival today. I wanted to let you know that searched the whole festival for something that I had not had before and was at a reasonable price. I had passed your truck up a time or two as I like to see a menu. Honestly, I was not interested in pulling out my phone to scan for a menu. When I did it was hard to see because of the lighting on my phone vs the sun. I did see the tacos at a reasonable price so I ordered the shrimp. My expectations were not super high for tacos. I just wanted to let you know that you knocked it out of the park. My food was beautiful, the shells has the right crunch, it was perfectly seasoned and the salsa was just right! I wish I had more of that sauce. I did run out and it made me sad. I am looking forward to trying more of your dishes if you are in the area of Slidell /Covington. Keep up the good work and great food! Impressive!”

“We enjoyed the best shrimp poboys and onion rings! The bread they use for the poboys is wonderful! The shrimp were a perfect size, perfectly battered up and perfectly fried. The size of the sandwich was just right as well, and overstuffed the way we like it. The lettuce, tomato, and pickles were fresh and added the perfect touch. As for the thick cut homemade onion rings, those were honestly the best onion rings we have ever had from anywhere. I could make a meal out of their onion rings and I might just do that one day! I must add that we feel the prices are very affordable. Other places in town are charging more for food that isn’t nearly as good.”

“My family and I came to New Orleans for a wedding and we stopped here on the way out. AMAZING food! The smoked sausage, grits, and potatoes were so fresh! We got some beignets to try and they were delicious!! The owner was so kind, you can tell he cares about his customers and what he does! Definitely coming back if I ever visit New Orleans again!!
