“Boyfriend and I had some night time ice cream craving so we hoped in the car and hurried over to marble slab! The staff was very very nice and we ordered and quickly ate. As we were cleaning up, they were even taking customers after close. I used to work at an ice cream shop ( so we know that struggle is strong at closing time)My banana boat was awesome. I got the chocolate birthday cake which tasted like sweet milk chocolate. I got cookie dough and caramel on top. Boyfriend got the strawberry with strawberry purée mixed in and birthday cake with caramel mixed in on a chocolate waffle bowl. He liked the birthday cake but he didn't like the strawberry ice cream at all. I tasted it, and I didn't mind it. The chocolate dipped waffle bowl did taste just like plastic though. Overall, mine was great and he just didn't like the bowl or strawberries. Staff was super nice and inside was very clean! Come try this place out“
“I brought my grandchildren here for a delicious treat. The owner was super nice and had them all pull up a chair so they could watch their ice cream being made. I love supporting local, family owned businesses, too. I highly recommend this place for children of all ages! Great ice cream and great service!“
“Delicious and fun dessert items featuring "exotic soft serve" ice cream, sorbets, and delicious fish-shaped objects stuffed with your choice of tasty additions then cooked to order. They also have an array of Asian bagged sweets and treats for sale, some of which were familiar and some I had never seen before. They are conveniently located around the corner from City Roots coffee shop if you like coffee with your frozen treats. The shop faces a public area within the Electric Depot footprint providing nice outside seating.Well worth the trip!“
“My daughter and I were greeted by Michael. He was very personable and definitely made our experience exceptional! You’re lucky to have him on your team! Also, the food was delicious!! Best I’ve ever had at any Mooyah! Kudos to the cook! This facility was also very clean! 5 stars all around!“
“I don't understand why each and every establishment closes at 9 pm in Baton Rouge. Especially with it being a casino town. After dinner my friends and I wanted ice cream. The closest place of this nature was Brewsters Ice Cream. Knowing it closed at 10 pm we kicked it into high gear and headed that way arriving at 9:40. When we arrived we noticed all lights were off with zero cars in the parking lot...they had closed early. We were not giving up though. Next closest spot was Marble Slab. My gf Kim called and asked if they were really closing at 10 or planned on packing up early and heading out. The gentleman politely said they would remain open until 10. She warned him we would arrive with an estimated ETA of 9:58. He stated his doors would remain open. We arrive literally at 9:58 and gleefully smiled because he kept his word and the Open sign was lit up bright red. Knowing we had minimal time, we scurried inside and quickly made up our mind. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us with a sincere smile and happily made our four orders. While we were waiting for our dessert, we all genuinely thanked him for staying open and enjoyed some small talk. Turns out this establishment is family owned and has been open for over 25 years. He was the son of the owner attending LSU pursuing a degree in business as he planned on taking over the business. We sat down for a moment and enjoyed our ice cream and chat while he began closing duties. All the ice cream is made in house and all toppings were available at no extra charge. These days one gets charged extra for basically anything and everything so it was nice to see this place is kind enough to add extras with no additional cost. Our ice cream was amazIng. I had the pecan caramel something () that consisted of butter pecan ice cream with caramel, pecans and chocolate chips in a waffle cone. Hubs got strawberry cheesecake also in a waffle cone dipped in white chocolate and sprinkles. Again both were fresh and absolutely amazing. I wish more places displayed the customer service this business had. His attitude, friendly demeanor and kind soul made our evening. Thank you sir! If I lived anywhere remotely close to Baton Rouge this most definitely would be my go to spot for ice cream.“
“Always, and I mean ALWAYS, an exceptional experience and great dessert i ever have .Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority .“
“Brought my child to this establishment because of her great grades and this place was amazing the staff was very polite, courteous and fast. The establishment was very clean and well lite. The ice cream was so good I would highly recommend this place if you're in the area off Lee St.“
“One of my classes got out early so my friends and I decided to find the new dairy store!! I love that they redid it. It feels much cleaner and is way more spacious. They had a wide range of ice-cream flavors to choose from and the girl who helped us was super nice!“
“I dined in this weekend and it was amazing! I ordered the lasagna and it was the best lasagna I've had in a long time! the king cake Gelato was sooo good and my daughter was able to get dairy free sorbet that she loved! the workers was so nice and I will definitely be returning!“
“Have loved Counter Culture for years. My "go-tos" are the turkey melt on Jalapeño cheddar bread and the Humphrey Yogart. Their bread is amazing and I keep forgetting to ask if they make it in house. Employees are attentive, quick and cordial. The inside is clean and decorated with LSU posters. I usually use the drive through and the wait is never very long. Would recommend trying this BR staple.“
“I look for the white truck don’t know his name but when he’s there he give you exactly what you’re craving for he makes the best fluffy ice it is!!!! He’s always smiling, always in a good mood and ready to satisfy your ice craving.. If the white truck not out there I pass by. I would give him 10 stars if I could he never disappoint me…Thank you for being great at what you do.. when you make the fluffy ice it’s like snow no lumps or chunks of hard ice“
“Who still buys snowballs.? Snowballs took over for the '99's and '00's. There's a new sheriff in town and it's called "Italian Ice." It came to takeover for the 2010's and Beyond. And if your looking for the right spot for your italian ice to hit the spot then "Ty-Ty's Italian Ice & Concessions" is your go to spot. Recently opening in the Baton Rouge area, I just had to give it a try and I haven't been able to stop going ever since. Awesome flavors served by an awesome family. Mom, Dad, Son, and Daughter; perfect combination stirring up perfect italian ice combos. 5 ⭐'s for the quality of the customer service, the great flavors, and the family just being wonderful people. Drop them snowballs and pick up on an italian ice, you'll be guaranteed to never switch back. ????????❣️“
“I love frozen yogurt. I went twice in the span of a single week because it was very enjoyable. This location is pretty clean :) and has a decent amount of flavors. “My favorite is the parfait. TCBY Yogurt is a beloved destination for frozen yogurt enthusiasts, allowing guests to create their own delicious treats with a variety of flavors and toppings to choose from; it's a perfect spot to indulge in a refreshing and customizable dessert.“
