I just left there and bought a shrimp poboy. At 620 on March 25th 2024. It is the best shrimp Poboy I have ever had. I've had a lot of food from there. Whoever the cook is, today is off the chain. He is amazing. Thank you so much.

This was where you could get the last 100% meat hamburger ?. But they are half the size and started putting breadcrumbs and eggs in the meat. And all for $12.30.

I've been in this part of town for all of my life and I was curious about Fred's on the river. After being in the military for 3 years I come back to my hometown and come to find out this place is outdated and somewhat uncomfortable. I was the only black person there, not to mention the service there very rude and not professional. I got an adios and she basically said it's like an Long Island ice tea (no toppings and the drink was drenched with syrup). The place as an whole was a 7 that's why I gave it a 2 but other than that the service, music, the people, and even the pool tables lacked any care for. In all, I would not recommend this place to anyone hoping to have a fun night.
Freds food mart is the best place for local coffee talks, early morning pep talks, and the best food around at anytime. It doesn’t get better than Fred’s. You will pretty much meet all the locals and they will make you feel right at home.

Love the fried pork chops. They are moist. I usually don't like them most places because they get dry and overcooked. The hash browns are cut potatoes chunks, love that. Breakfast is all day and the menu is huge and the boudin balls are great. I also like the sauce and omelets. I may need to go back tonight. It is a little noisy but not as bad as some places.

It took over 40 minutes to get a hamburger and 4 chicken tenders. I have no idea why it took so long. I will never go back there. I should have asked how long it would take. They didn’t say how long it would take. I would have just left but I have two young children needing to eat and there are no other restaurants in the area. I will never go back.

I have been coming here for a while now. I wish they can bring back the staff they had a few months ago. I order the hamburger and fries with extra Mayo and extra tomatoes, git in my vehicle and they had neither. Went back in with a smile and told them. The young lady got it straight. Went sit to eat my lunch and after the second bite, the meat wasn’t cooked all the wart thru. This is the second hamburger like this. I give up!!
