“I had chicken parmigiana from Carrabba's and fell asleep in the recliner. Don't ever do that. I dreamt I was back in high school.and was flunking my classes and wouldn't graduate, so I skipped my finals and went to some festival in the courtyard where I got my face painted with clown makeup so I could blend in and be incognito. As there was some shame associated with the flunking out. I met a cute charming woman who was also a midget. She was about 4'10" (same height as my 2nd ex/baby-mama) dressed as a jester for the weird end of school carnivale and we had a great time and when I said goodbye she jumped my bones, climbed me like a ladder and kissed me, and well, we did "it",and the lovemaking was awesome, like the nympho scene from porky's and In the afterglow I realized people could see us because we hadn't picked the most secluded area backstage and one of the voyeurs was a girl I crushed on in high school, and I was like, "oh, hey so and so, how are you?" Trying so hard to act like she didn't just watch me have midget clown whoopee with one of my ex's. And she was about to say something, but then I awoke with a start in my recliner. That was some rich food! Thanks Carrabba's! Great food, strangely cryptic yet satisfying dreams! I gotta eat there more often. The devil is in that chicken ya'll.”

“I went there for the first time last Friday for the Metallica tribute band. I have heard stories about the bar being a bit “rough” in the past, but I have also read and heard that they have done a lot of work to change the image, build a nice stage/music venue, and create a safe environment.
I am here to tell you that those stories are true! So true, in fact, that I brought my 22-year-old daughter to that show, and we felt completely safe! We had no issues with anyone. The bar tenders were great, and the fellow attendants were nice and respectful. I will be attending more shows at Bayou Thunder from now on, and whenever my daughter is in town again, I have no issue with bringing her with me.”

After eating I did something I have never done which was spend a significant amount of time looking for the phone number for Burger Den so I could speak with the manager to compliment the chef. My grandfather and I both thought this was one of the BEST burgers we ever had. Once I spoke with the manager, she told me how much it would mean to the cook as he was cooking completely alone since they were short staffed. I explained that the burger was one we would usually find at Steak Houses. Despite being short staffed, the cook did NOT let that affect the delicious taste and quality of the food he sent out. My Grandad and I both could NOT stop discussing the amazing burgers that had an incredible explosion of flavor that seeped into the bun for an unforgettable taste sensation.”

The red beans and rice was so good with nice taste in the juice. Most meals comes will fries; but from healthy next I time would love to switch fries for the unique tasting Cole slaw instead. Food is not greasy but hot, quick. For the outside patio would suggest cleaning the seats and tables and checking seating area for trash. But Marilynn's is worth more visits.”

Food had a different spin to it but it was absolutely amazing. The salsa was even had a roasted Cheyanne pepper flavor that’s indescribably delicious. I will recommend this place to all of my friends. Depending on what you order it could take a bit of time but not too much, it’s worth the wait. I particularly always enjoy their cheeseburgers with fries. Their hamburger steak is delicious too and it is served with homemade gravy instead of gravy out of a package like most restaurants do. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT. OH, forgot to mention, their catfish on Friday is DELICIOUS too, and they serve AMERICAN raised catfish instead of that fish that comes from overseas.”

We got the Swamp Dip, Cuban Pirogue, and a Build-Your-Own, and they were all very tasty! The au jus that came with the Swamp Dip was so flavorful that we almost wanted to drink it.
The guys wanted to try another sandwich before we left, so they got the Dressed Up Gator, and that also was good!

I think the bar area is better than the dining area as far as ambiance goes, but it was also super empty when we came because of the weather, so I think if it was full I wouldn’t be as hard on the dining room. Our server Jacob was super friendly, we’ve met him in the drive through before and he is always great! He pointed out the desserts to me tonight and I got a banana pudding with bruleed bananas, it was top notch! For my appetizer I had the deviled eggs, and they were pretty good, not my style but worth the $8. I can’t wait to come back and compare their jäger schnitzel or chicken Parm to mine. For those who do not know, they are back in their original location. They were at the Sonic next door for a time whilst they rebuilt. Both locations are like right next to each other, so it's easy enough to find if you've never been to the original location.
Food.... great, as well !! I had the shrimp fried rice. It is one of the best in town !
The Miso soup hits the spot ! Our drinks were refilled in a timely manner ( a small thing, yet the mark of good service).
My fave item is the Pink Lady roll. I think it's a roll ( I did not order this time as I was not very hungry).
The indoor is a wonderful, cozy atmosphere. Very much as I remember the original. Plenty of good seating and lotsa TVs if you want to watch sports. There is a bar you can sit at.
There is an cute outdoor patio.
The place is on Line Ave, right next to Chiante. There is plenty of parking. If not right up in front, there is a parking lot, too.

“I had read a lot of reviews, so we decided to eat lunch there today while in town for a doctor’s appointment. We had never been here before. Parking lot was full at 11:30AM. Once inside, a waiter greeted us at the door and promptly seated us. We had the ribeye fajitas. Perhaps the best I’ve ever eaten. Very tender and juicy. Outstanding waiter and prompt service. Five star service and food. We’ll be back.”

My recent dinner at Windrush was a delightful experience, largely due to the exceptionally well-prepared food. From start to finish, the dishes were a testament to masterful seasoning, arriving plentiful and absolutely bursting with flavor. Every bite was a genuine pleasure, showcasing a clear understanding of how to make ingredients sing.
The only minor stumble came with dessert. The beignets, while undeniably hot and fresh, would have benefited from a more generous dusting of powdered sugar to truly elevate their sweetness. A small personal preference, but I also would have loved for them to be served concurrently with my ice cream, as I had envisioned combining the two for a delectable hot-and-cold treat. Perhaps next time, I'll request this timing specifically.
Service throughout the evening was impeccable. Our waitress was a standout, proving to be both attentive and remarkably rapid in anticipating and fulfilling our needs. Her efficiency and pleasant demeanor truly enhanced the overall dining experience.
Despite the slight dessert quibble, the outstanding main courses and excellent service make Windrush Village Marketplace a highly recommended spot for anyone seeking a truly flavorful and satisfying meal. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!”

After eating I did something I have never done which was spend a significant amount of time looking for the phone number for Burger Den so I could speak with the manager to compliment the chef. My grandfather and I both thought this was one of the BEST burgers we ever had. Once I spoke with the manager, she told me how much it would mean to the cook as he was cooking completely alone since they were short staffed. I explained that the burger was one we would usually find at Steak Houses. Despite being short staffed, the cook did NOT let that affect the delicious taste and quality of the food he sent out. My Grandad and I both could NOT stop discussing the amazing burgers that had an incredible explosion of flavor that seeped into the bun for an unforgettable taste sensation.”

The red beans and rice was so good with nice taste in the juice. Most meals comes will fries; but from healthy next I time would love to switch fries for the unique tasting Cole slaw instead. Food is not greasy but hot, quick. For the outside patio would suggest cleaning the seats and tables and checking seating area for trash. But Marilynn's is worth more visits.”

The Happy Hour specials are really good. If not a small selection. I ordered a $3- 22 oz blue moon and waited. 20 minutes later friends started trickling in. Jessica was the bartender on duty and did a good job. I ordered the $5 HH onion rings. They were massive and looked like donuts. Taste was ok. I ordered a $2 PBR and my bill was $10. The menu looks like it has plenty of options but I would go back for that HH!”

“I had chicken parmigiana from Carrabba's and fell asleep in the recliner. Don't ever do that. I dreamt I was back in high school.and was flunking my classes and wouldn't graduate, so I skipped my finals and went to some festival in the courtyard where I got my face painted with clown makeup so I could blend in and be incognito. As there was some shame associated with the flunking out. I met a cute charming woman who was also a midget. She was about 4'10" (same height as my 2nd ex/baby-mama) dressed as a jester for the weird end of school carnivale and we had a great time and when I said goodbye she jumped my bones, climbed me like a ladder and kissed me, and well, we did "it",and the lovemaking was awesome, like the nympho scene from porky's and In the afterglow I realized people could see us because we hadn't picked the most secluded area backstage and one of the voyeurs was a girl I crushed on in high school, and I was like, "oh, hey so and so, how are you?" Trying so hard to act like she didn't just watch me have midget clown whoopee with one of my ex's. And she was about to say something, but then I awoke with a start in my recliner. That was some rich food! Thanks Carrabba's! Great food, strangely cryptic yet satisfying dreams! I gotta eat there more often. The devil is in that chicken ya'll.”
