Has a fabulous and long history as being the oldest and continuous operating African American family owned restaurant in the US, since 1921. I am very upset that I just discovered this place in the last 6 months. My wife and I have been 6 times in 4 months which is pretty good considering we live an hour and half away. Everything is awesome from the seafood to the soul food. You will not have to pick up the salt or pepper because food is seasoned to the T. Reasonable prices and large portions. Be sure to try the stuffed shrimp.
We love almost everything on their menu. We have tried almost everything. Their french fried onions are the best ever. They are for real. And the sprinkling of red pepper flakes gives them a whole new twist. I am going to start serving mine that way when I cook them at home.
