I liked pretty much everything about this place. Its small with only a few tables. Its attached to a casino which I found interesting. Good price & the food was good also. Clean with plenty of parking.

My wife and I went there for a late lunch. She got fried green tomatoes and I got a fish, shrimp and oyster plate with fries and red beans and rice. The service was great, and the food was served very hot, like we like it. We will have seconds tonight with the lemon cake we bought for desert. We will definitely eat here the next time we pass through the area

My flight was delayed and I was not interested in eating food at the airport while in beautiful Louisiana. I ordered delivery from Sam's and was thoroughly satisfied. Food arrived piping hot, was well presented and delicious. I ordered the fish and shrimp combo and a shrimp po boy. The mains were great but the sides were tuurrible. Y'all can do better than KFC mac n cheese and not as good as Popeyes dirty rice. Overall, good spot will def be back.

We are just passing through town. I should have listened to Stephanie S regarding the macaroni and cheese and corn. I ate the corn but couldn't finish The macaroni and cheese. Stephanie is right, they are bland. I was going to give this place three stars but after I took a bite of the German chocolate cake I added a star. Definitely made the trip worthwhile. Nice, generous size. I am enjoying it with wine tonight and will have plenty leftover to drink with my coffee in the morning.

Sam's Southern Eatery had a fantastic menu and fantastic food! I'm in town on a work trip and found this place on Yelp. So glad we gave it a try! The chicken & sausage gumbo was INCREDIBLE. It came out fast, hot, and it was so full of flavor. I loved their sweet tea too. I got the corn and mac & cheese as sides, and unfortunately, I thought they were a bit bland. I'd probably try some of their other sides if I go back again. It's definitely worth a visit if you've never been!
This place is INCREDIBLE our lady who served us was fantastic, great service and great banter. This was my first time coming in. And I ordered the 4/4 Jumbo Shrimp and sub Chicken for fish. I had so much food there's no way I could eat it all. And when they say JUMBO shrimp, they aren't playing around ! Incredible fried okra, red beans and rice, and some fried bread rolls. I don't eat food like this regularly but this was most certainly a treat. I wish I could remember our lady's name I think she might have said her name was Rose ? In any case all the staff are incredibly friendly and very happy to share the experience with you. Be sure to tip these gals accordingly. They work hard to make sure you enjoy your meal. Definitely come and get some of this incredible food.

A good price for some good food. I had a Crawfish po'boy and my wife had the oyster po'boy. Both were served with plenty of their respective items with extra on the plate. The sandwiches in guessing are 10" and the price made it a great deal. Service was good and food was delivered fast and hot.

Sam's has been on point every time that I have gone there. The food is tasty and fresh. The selections are innumerable. The deserts are fresh and they have a variety to choose from and their customer service is impeccable each time whether in person or on the phone.

The food tonight was so bad Philly ChickenPoboy was not on point tonight love these things too and there always so good but tonight was not very great poor made and beans and rice was more like instant than the ones they server come on guys step it back up
