Restaurantji's Terrytown picks for the finest Mexican cuisine.
“We live two blocks from Taco Bell. Months ago, Chicken Quesadilla was a delicacy and we always bought it. For some reason Chicken Quesadilla now is a totally inferior product to what they used to serve. Now “Crispanada” is one of the best products. We do not lose hope that Chicken Quesadilla will return to the high level we were served before.I rate 5 stars hoping that the manager improves the review I am makingParking: .Tks,,“
“We came here several years ago when in NOLA, and it was so good that we had to come back. This place is very good. The chips and salsa are nice. The pina aqua Fresca was some of the best I’ve had. The quesabirria tacos stole the show. They were out of this world amazing. Service was exceptional. Will definitely return next time we’re in town.“
“Juan's Flying Burrito exceeded my expectations, even with a DoorDash order. The queso was absolutely phenomenal, earning its spot as a must-try item. Additionally, the Build Your Own bowl was both delicious and incredibly filling—I couldn't even finish it! I highly recommend Juan's Flying Burrito for anyone craving tasty and satisfying Mexican food.“
“Latin American food at its best! Interesting menu and big portions with home cooked flavors. Don't miss the wonderful hand crafted cocktails made with care by the owner himself. So yummy! The wait staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a leisurely dinner.“
“I went fearful of what I could find, I was looking for Mexican food and I found this oasis, I'm from Houston Tx and never thought I would find the best birria at this place, service was excellent and price very affordable, ambiance was excellent, the place is super nice.“
“This was a phenomenal dining experience at every level. The tasting was 85pp which is well worth it. The beef tongue was the best I've ever had, it was wildly tender. The tuna steak was similarly killer. Every dish was top notch. (Full disclosure the quail had the feet and my wife was off put, however I didn't mind). The staff was attentive, helpful, and warm. A strong recommend in a city that is already dense with great food.“
“I really wanted to hate this place. Another hipster gentrifying the neighborhood with their pseudo-ethnic cuisine. This rich boy, Banksy buying, carpet bagger…. I so very much wanted to hate it. But I couldn’t. It was just too good. The food was delicious. The prices were just right. The authentic tile work and gas station bathroom were absolutely delightful. The servers were raw and righteous. The way the owner spoke…. The little frogs…. The whole vibe just felt right. I couldn’t hate it. I loved it.“
“Really cool outdoor space with good food, great for groups and vibey dates. If you want to eat outside, this is a top choice. You order at the window so the service is real quick and easy. Ordered a few tacos, the queso, and a bowl. So the tacos were ok, no real complaints. But the bowl is where it’s at. Beans and rice and guacamole and choice of protein and you can add broccoli and mushrooms. Great meal, really filling and delicious. The queso was unique, I added the chili and it came with pomegranate so it was a mixture of spice and sweet. Also, don’t sleep on the frozen mango margarita. Delish. This’ll be the happening spot as the weather warms up!“
“Hands down the BEST Mexican food experience our family has ever had! The ladies who took care of us were extremely friendly and accommodating, took time to explain the menu to us and make recommendations. Beyond that, the food was absolutely outstanding. The meats and veggies were fresh and the flavors were bountiful. This place is severely unassuming but worth the trip to the outskirts of town. Do yourself a favor and make your way to Taqueria 2 Brothers—you’ll thank me later.“
