“The most divey type bar in the college town of Thibodaux. People of all ages hang out here, so it has a very interesting vibe. All types of people seem to coexist here. This is the cheapest place to grab a beer or a simple liquor/mixer cocktail. There's a pool table and jukebox and an old wooden bar. Cash only, so make sure to grab some at your ATM or you'll be forced to pay a surcharge to use their's. One of there best events is Christmas Caroling about a week before Christmas. They only do it one day, so be sure to ask around during November to see when it will be. A three man band plays and they even hand out song sheets. Big problem with many of the bars in Thibodaux is that you can still smoke inside. At times you can see a hazy cloud hanging over the customers. Maybe I'm only complaining because I'm used the smoking ban in Nola. If you're feeling crazy, their signature shot/cocktail(?) is the Mind Eraser. It's some concoction served in a small plastic cup with a straw. But you drink the thing as fast as you can through the straw, almost like you're taking a shot. This is a right of passage at this bar. Definitely recommend checking this place out.“
