Seoul Topokki makes it high on our high taste-per-dollar list. Korean culinary tradition includes doctor’s advice - food is medicine there, by tradition, and there’s a wide assortment of healthy options for the budget-conscious. Most of our fellow diners were school-age, almost entirely Asian. We ordered Bulgogi Topokki, along with a Vergetable Korean pancake. New to us, Topokki refers to mochi-like rice cylinders, about the size of Penne pasta, but solid core, and is the specialty of the house, offered in a variety of combinations. The taste of both dishes, but particularly the beef broth, was off-the-charts great. My only complaint is a familiar one, having encountered this often at mid-priced and budget Asian restaurants -the beef consisted of some tender bits, but also beef slices that were so tough they were almost inedible. The shame of it is, this is easily prevented by slow-cooking the beef for at least a few hours, but apparently Topokki (and many other places) either aren’t on to this culinary technique, or don’t choose to invest the preparation time to get a really exceptional dish.I took my leftover beef and broth home, and slow-cooked the leftover beef, holding the broth on the side, along with some store-bought marked-down trimmed beef rib bones, cheap because it’s ostensibly for soup, with the desirable beef rib meat cut off. Cooked for 3 hours with onions at 250º, it became exceedingly tender, and with the Topokki broth added back along with some vegetables, it was extremely delicious and satisfying. The place is very comfortable and welcoming, and the staff is great. The picnic-style tables have nice rounded edges, and the chairs are wide, and the restrooms clean. We will defintitely be going back - but not for the beef, next time. We hope to hear back that they’ve decided to pre-cook or slow-cook the beef to alleviate the toughness - it’s a trick that works great on even the cheapest cuts of beef. It’d also be nice to see some capsaicin sauce on the table - we didn’t see it and it wasn’t offered.

The kimchi back rib stew and mozzarella cheese tteokbokki I ate at Seoul Tteokbokki in Boston are still better than the soft tofu stew in Bukchang-dong in Koreatown, New York. This reminds me of this, so I might have to go to Boston again.. I asked why the soup for braised back ribs was so delicious, and I was told that they put vegetable broth in the soup. I thought it was a snack bar, but the soft tofu stew was also made with green onions... If you miss the taste of mom's cooking in Boston, be sure to try it. It's so delicious it makes you cry. The extra affection from the boss may make me cry more because I miss my mom. ^*^

I brought the adults with me while traveling in the U.S. It was the most delicious meal I had during my trip to the U.S.... Haha. They said it was the most delicious meal of the entire trip.... The tteokbokki was delicious and the Kimchi Galbijjim (spicy braised kimchi) is a must-try if you fancy kimchi... For me, the Dolsot Bibimbap was the most delicious... ......

I love this place, their topokki / ddeukbokki rappoki is suuuper yums. Their korean sausage (blood sausage) is also a must try! You can dip it in the topokki sauce. The odeng soup is a must for winter days. Bon appetit!PS: I'm definitely going to come back and try their spicy crab and other offerings.

This Korean restaurant is a hidden gem in Boston! Their rapokki, veggie pancake, kimbap, spicy crab and ginseng chicken soup are absolutely delightful, bursting with authentic flavors. The owner's hospitality adds a special charm to the dining experience, making it not just a meal but a memorable moment. Highly recommend for a taste of delicious Korean cuisine and friendly service!

I recently dined at Seoul Topokki, and it was an incredible experience. The authenticity of the Korean cuisine was evident in every dish. The staff went above and beyond, guiding me through the menu with great recommendations, considering my allergy restrictions. Their friendliness added to the warm ambiance. The food was not only delicious but also a true representation of Korean flavors. I highly recommend Seoul Topokki for an authentic and delightful dining experience.

Such a great spot! There are a bunch of Korean options in this neighborhood, be we decided on this one because all the dishes we saw through the window looked amazing. The menu isn't crazy extensive, but you can tell they put care into each of their dishes. The staff was amazing and didn't rush us out, even though we were the last ones there. It's a pretty casual spot and it seemed like it was mainly students there, but don't be fooled, the food is still excellent. My friend and I ordered the Bibimbap, Seoul Topokki, and Kimchi Stew, all of which were delicious. The Bibimbap had just the right flavor and the rice was nice and crispy (go for the hot stone version)! The Topokki was spicy, but not overwhelmingly so. I loved the fish cakes in there. The Kimchi Stew had tons of fun surprises in there, including glass noodles and fish cakes. I can't wait to come back to this place and try some more menu items!

One of my favorite places for Korean food in Boston! I usually order take out or Uber eats, but finally dined in recently. We got seated very quickly as it wasn't too busy.We ordered the marinated crab, combo 1with rabokki, and tuna Kimbap. It was all really flavorful and tasty. The marinated crab was a bit messy to eat even with the gloves that they provided, however there was a good portion. It comes with a small bowl of rice.

Came here with my fiance and everything we had was great! She got the Seoul topokki combo with kimbap and it was a lot of food! The sauce was savory and a little sweet and the topokki were nice and chewy. Kimbap was packed full of filling. I got the budae jjigae and it had a great mix of meat and veggies; the broth was spicy and savory.Staff were very nice and the restaurant had a casual feel. We will definitely be coming back

Great place to get kimbap when I was craving it so. I certainly wasn’t expecting the pajon to be that big, but I had some leftover to take home. I also got a bulgogi kimbap, which I found to be kind of dry and tough. I ordered a tuna kimbap for takeaway and it ended up being much more tasty than the bulgogi one.
