This place is awesome !!! We had our Amherst high school class of 1988 reunion here last weekend. Caleb and his staff, Ava and Katie were absolutely amazing to work with. It didn't matter what the request was they made it happen. Of course the beer was outstandingly delicious and we loved our custom menus for our event. We also had the Hangar brought in and that never disapoints.(yummy)Everyone loved it and we had a great time.Thank you, ABC Tap Room!!!We appreciate you!!Love ARHS 1988

If you hate the brewery experience, but love Chuck E Cheese and Dave and Busters, this place is for you. Lots of crappy food, loud arcade sounds, kids running around and tons of people.

Ok. I guess now it is called the Hanger. I miss the craft beers and the menu as the Hanger is more pub fare. Less local farm food. Prefer to go to the high horse unless we need more space.

Amherst Brewing Company was awsome however the location has been taken over by another awsome restaurant The Hanger. There great beer line will continue but the restaurant is now gone.

Terrible service! Our group of 8 arrived at noon, a waitress took our drink order at 12:15 (wine by the glass, no bottles), no water offered. Took our order at 12:30. At 1:15, after people around us had ordered, been served, eaten and left (!!!) we found a manager who told us the sandwiches which we ordered took longer than the wings - which is their specialty. At 1:30 we got the manager again and were finally served. One order totally screwed up, others missing cole slaw. The classic reuben ordered by 4 of us was smoked beef - hardly a classic reuben! When we ordered coffee, we were told they don't serve coffee. This in what is basically a sports bar where there are a lot of young people who should sober up before leaving. We won't be back!

Good beer selection, mediocre service, mediocre food, poor to mediocre atmosphere (large strip mall space, little decoration, some big TVs)) and very little character.

This is a sports bar. It's gross due to the nature of it being a sports bar. Too many bros. Way too many bros. Beer flight was fine, slightly overpriced. Fried jalapeños were weird but okay. All in all, nothing was worth the environment.

PROS: Ample parking. Clean bathrooms. Ample seating areas. Lots of beer // sampler available. Merchandise available for purchase. CONS: Boring menu. Bottom line: No frills kid friendly brewery.

Hangar is moving their menu to ABC with lackluster results. The beer menu remains impressive, but the new management has failed to properly carbonate many of the drafts. Come on, it's not that hard, McDonald's does it right every day and they're teenagers. Quality control must improve before they are graced with any more of my hard earned dollar bills. Step it up, ABC. The wing game needs to be improved. The sauce to wing ratio is lacking severely. I'm here for the sauce, I can get cooked wings anywhere. This place has a lot of potential but they need better quality control. Do the cooks not taste everything coming out of the kitchen? Don't bartenders know the beer is flat? Bunch of newbies.

I went here last Friday with a group of friends to check out the changes to abc since the hangar took over management. The interior looks almost the same with a few hangar you touches (ie giant beer menu). The menu takes the wings section from hangar and the rest is the pub menu from abc (only one page front & back). We order beers, soda, sweet potato fries, onion rings, salad, and wings (bone in and boneless) to split between a group of 6. Although our waitress was attentive with getting us our food, everything was a bit off. The drinks were a little flat, the fries & onion rings were cold, and the wings did not have enough to sauce. Someone needs to help them with their quality control. Overall, does not compare to the hangar

I have the honor of saying I was one of the first to work there. I also have the honor of having Greg Noonan ask me to come down and help get them started. John is a First Class Brewer and even if you do not like his Recipe's, you can count on the best ingredients available in the Brewing World and that he is creating a Traditional Beer with his signature. I was last there... At his new location last fall and so enjoyed his October Fest. Malty, yeasty and all the tones you would expect from a World Class Brewery!!! If your only complaint is the Sweet Fries were cold... Than you would not be happy at any Brew Pub and you should go to Applebee's. If you love World Class Beer... Brewed by a Brew Master and you want it straight from the Tap... Then you'll love ABC... Rock on Johnnie!!!!

I've been there two times with my family and the staff has always been super friendly. My dad loves that the beers change, since he loves trying all the new beers. The menu is traditional, but they have a lot of great options. Their burgers are fantastic. They aren't very expensive, when my dad saw the bill he was blown away by how cheap it was, considering he had gotten alcohol. I recommend, but you do get no cell phone service (which is actually pretty nice)

This bar blows. Empty on a Saturday night in Amherst where nothing else good is going on. Why? I don't know. My friend seemed to like the Diva drink with no alcohol in it. Don't come here...ever. In fact don't come to Amherst at all. By the way I'm writing this as I'm sitting at the empty bar.

I used to love this place, but after my most recent visits I will likely not return for dinner. Their menu has been cut back a lot over the years, leaving a selection of burgers and a few wraps for dinner. The service has been so slow. Even when we were the only couple eating, I eventually had to go to the bar to get another beer. Their beer is excellent, I really like the IPA diversity. It's a great place if you just want to grab a few beers and play pool, but it is not the great dinner spot that I remember!
