“Absolutely loved this place. The bar itself has a great layout and plenty of room. We walked in and immediately had seats at the bar. Bartenders were attentive & super friendly. The food, drinks and live music were all 10/10. The special egg rolls (Shepards pie) were AMAZING. We went with the intention of having an app & quick drink due to not living close by but ended up staying for about 3 hours. Will definitely be back!“
“Was at Murphy's this morning for breakfast and if 6 stars was an option I would give it 10??????????. I ordered the Irish Breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. This was also the first time I had black and white pudding and I really enjoyed it...and yes I know what is in black and white pudding, but I don't care, it was delicious. The food came out in a very timely manner and was still hot, but not TOO hot. My server Jennifer was very pleasant and attentive.The only bad thing is now I have higher standards for breakfast because of Murphys. No other breakfast will cut it. ???“
“Great Irish pub with very friendly staff and patrons. The type of place people will move over to help you get a seat. I watched 2 strangers at a 4 top invite 2 people that were waiting for a table to sit with them. The atmosphere was great. It is kid friendly. There was live music playing on a Sunday afternoon. Just the right level so you could talk and not yell. My daughter and I each started with a Shirley Temple. I'm a big kid at heart. For an appetizer we each got a cup of their creamy, buttery, thick and absolutely delicious clam chowder! My daughter got the baha burger. She really liked it. The fries were crisp with a nice spice. I had a stuffed quohog, this was served hot with butter and lemon. This was so good. I had the garlic parmesan chicken wings. These were crispy, juicy on the inside, and the flavors were delicious! Some of the best I've had. The entire time the staff was attentive and friendly. Definitely worth checking out!“

“A nautical-themed bar on Ives St, Captain's Seaweeds is a fun little bar. It has some elements of a dive bar, but I wouldn't really call it that. While they do have a pool table and fairly cheap beer, imbibers are generally from around the neighborhood, not really the typical dive bar crowd. I mean, there was a group playing with Beyblades when we came. They don't serve food, but there are a couple good options nearby and they'll let you bring in takeout. They do have an outdoor area when the weather's nice, but during the winter the bar tends to get pretty crowded. Lots of nautical themed decorations, which help give it a unique character. All in all, a good option if you're coming for a few drinks and then heading home, but it's a little out of the way if you're trying to bar hop or don't live in the area.“

“We ordered Corned Beef Boiled Dinners here to go for St. Patrick's Day, and they answered the phone right away and pleasantly I might add on a holiday, and told us we could come right down and pick it up.So we did. Food was pretty good and there was no wait. We had come here from another area establishment that we were trying to go to. But we were met there with loud drunks and told we had to go to the bar and order food but we would be waiting all day and night for a table and good luck. And that was from an employee of the establishment. So we left and came here and we're so happy to come home with the food and not be out in the craziness. What were we thinking lol.“

“Steak tips were amazing, cooked perfect and so flavorful. French fries and moons of mozzarella were good, you can tell the fryer oil is clean from a good fry color. Hubby got cowboy burger and clam chowdah and enjoyed both. He raved the clam chowdah was delicious. Our server Steve was amazing and attentive. We had a great night minus a few obnoxiously loud people there which is not the restaurants fault. We will return for sure.“
“We stopped in on a Sunday at about 4:00pm because we had heard this was "jam" day. As I understand it, there are two alternating bands that let musicians/singers sign in and then perform in turn on their own instruments(except the drums for obvious reasons). I thought the band was good in all of its incarnations. There is a definite music theme throughout the décor. From the mural of rockers which covers an entire wall to the Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin base drums and the guitar shaped neon. If you wanted to watch the band and could not get a seat in the front room, there were a couple of cctv's showing the performers in the back and bar area. There is a full bar of about 20 seats with a decent selection of draft beer. When we were there the place was packed and the two bartenders were doing a good job of keeping up with the demand. There were about ten tables and no waitresses. You can order at the bar but I believe a sign is needed to direct one to the appropriate place to order. Food is available. “We have been here twice now. I have been a local for years and never once knew about this hidden gem! The food is amazing & the staff is great. This is such a family friendly place I highly suggest it. Both times we have had Eden as our waitress and she is amazing! Sam as well was super friendly and funny. Love the vibe!“

Neither one asked for a name. (Huh. I must have the authoritative look or something.)We were seated right next to the noisy front desk AND the drafty door. The elderly in my party were not amused. I asked our waitress, when she breathlessly swooped in, if the empty table 2 tables away from the door was still one of her stations, since we would like to hop over to that one before dinner got rolling. She informed us that it wasn't her station, but that we could relocate and she would continue with us. So that was nice.Impressions? First, this place is noisy. There's no risk of your neighbors eavesdropping on your table conversation, which can be a good thing. Elevated voices required, but we didn't have to scream at each other. Secondly, it's "manageably cramped." It looks like it expanded organically over time, so short of a tear-down and rebuild, they've made the most of the space they have.But the food was good! All 4 of us cleaned our plates (2 baked scrods with a stuffed mushroom app, one ahi tuna and a French onion chicken sandwich) with just a clutch of roasted potatoes to take home. So, Weatherlaine's has been doing something right all these years. Admittedly it had been a good 2½ decades since I'd been there last, so my memory fades as to what it was like before. But it's quite good now! Well worth a visit... tell 'em you have a reservation. Nobody checks! ?“
