I watched 2 strangers at a 4 top invite 2 people that were waiting for a table to sit with them. The atmosphere was great. It is kid friendly. There was live music playing on a Sunday afternoon. Just the right level so you could talk and not yell. My daughter and I each started with a Shirley Temple. I'm a big kid at heart. For an appetizer we each got a cup of their creamy, buttery, thick and absolutely delicious clam chowder! My daughter got the baha burger. She really liked it. The fries were crisp with a nice spice. I had a stuffed quohog, this was served hot with butter and lemon. This was so good. I had the garlic parmesan chicken wings. These were crispy, juicy on the inside, and the flavors were delicious! Some of the best I've had. The entire time the staff was attentive and friendly. Definitely worth checking out!“

“Steak tips were amazing, cooked perfect and so flavorful. French fries and moons of mozzarella were good, you can tell the fryer oil is clean from a good fry color. Hubby got cowboy burger and clam chowdah and enjoyed both. He raved the clam chowdah was delicious. Our server Steve was amazing and attentive. We had a great night minus a few obnoxiously loud people there which is not the restaurants fault. We will return for sure.“
“We stopped in on a Sunday at about 4:00pm because we had heard this was "jam" day. As I understand it, there are two alternating bands that let musicians/singers sign in and then perform in turn on their own instruments(except the drums for obvious reasons). I thought the band was good in all of its incarnations. There is a definite music theme throughout the décor. From the mural of rockers which covers an entire wall to the Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin base drums and the guitar shaped neon. If you wanted to watch the band and could not get a seat in the front room, there were a couple of cctv's showing the performers in the back and bar area. There is a full bar of about 20 seats with a decent selection of draft beer. When we were there the place was packed and the two bartenders were doing a good job of keeping up with the demand. There were about ten tables and no waitresses. You can order at the bar but I believe a sign is needed to direct one to the appropriate place to order. Food is available. “We had my 30th bday party at Limey’s this past weekend and it was everything I was hoping for. Great food, great live music, and the best staff. Stacy was amazing and helped plan our menu the week before the party and made sure we had a good spread and amount of food for our guests (about 30-35 people). Stacy, Jenna, and Kelly were amazing the night of the party bringing out the food and getting everyone drinks on a very busy night. Couldn’t have asked for anything better!“

“I'll just say at the outset that I had preconceived ideas about this place when my SIL suggested that we all meet up here for lunch. Friends of ours were always reporting that they were at this boozer called Jimmy's getting clobbered. I expected a louch, dark boozy pub and found a bright lively restaurant with terrific food! Huge portions of delicious food for short money? I'm there! I had some of the onion rings which were delicious, and shrimp scampi over rice pilaf rather than linguine. It was excellent! I could not eat it all and still make the drive back to Cape Cod comfortably. My SIL's fish and chips plate was huge and she reported that it was delicious. My BIL had an enormous burger with sweet potato fries. Next time when I'm looking for Fish & Chips in the area, I'll know where to go!“

There's no risk of your neighbors eavesdropping on your table conversation, which can be a good thing. Elevated voices required, but we didn't have to scream at each other. Secondly, it's "manageably cramped." It looks like it expanded organically over time, so short of a tear-down and rebuild, they've made the most of the space they have.But the food was good! All 4 of us cleaned our plates (2 baked scrods with a stuffed mushroom app, one ahi tuna and a French onion chicken sandwich) with just a clutch of roasted potatoes to take home. So, Weatherlaine's has been doing something right all these years. Admittedly it had been a good 2½ decades since I'd been there last, so my memory fades as to what it was like before. But it's quite good now! Well worth a visit... tell 'em you have a reservation. Nobody checks! ?“
“Came in with the whole family (6). Shown to a table quickly. The waitress (I can't remember her name.sorry)was awesome! Friendly funny and accommodating. Food came out quickly but evenly. Drinks were refilled and all our needs were met. The food was outstanding! We ordered a range from chicken Parm grinder to steak. It was all cooked perfectly! Steak medium rare burger medium. not a single complaint from anyone at the table. Which is rare. I would and will absolutely return to Fitzys in the future! It's an hour and a half away.“
“This was our first time at The Gavel. Definitely a place to hang out with friends or family.. We went on a Friday night and had a typical 40 minute or so wait. They do not have reservations. However the wait seemed to pass quickly as we had an attentive bar tender and enough space to hang out with live music.The food was very good, six people in our party and sense I can't figure out how to do 4-1/2 stars on the rating I'm putting it here. My only slightly issue was the batter on the fish and chips dinner was a little to crispy for my liking, but that's me, otherwise an excellent experience and we will be going back again.“
“Great 99,always good friendly service. My only advise to the owner,and this seems to be true of every 99,is every time I get the steak tips some are cooked good,others over cooked. I've noticed that they are all different sizes so I understand that the cooks have little control over this. It's really my fault because it happens every time I order the tips. Is this a training issue with the prep ? Or do these come from a vendor pre cut. Overall this is a well run place and I'll be back but I'd love to get a response on my question.“
