“It's at a highway rest stop, so expectations shouldn't be too high. At least they're open on Sundays! Sandwich was fine - typical "fast food" style sub. A little lighter on meat than the best sandwiches but just fine. The bread was okay, seemed a little crispy like it wasn't the freshest bread but okay. Why didn't they cut it all the way through? I don't know but places like this often leave a part of the bread not quite cut all the way through which annoys me but isn't a major issue.”

“The food here is amazing and the employees are super nice and friendly and they always try to get to know everyone and treat you like family. The place is very clean and well decorated and has a nice vibe to it, and this place is so popular that it's always full of nice people and sometimes you have to make reservation and what's great is they will call and let you know when there's the free spot in everything super amazing. I highly recommend you coming here and checking it out”

“We tried for the first time today! :) Food was great & coffee even better. Really enjoyed my coffee. Service wasn’t rude but was very unfriendly. Very stoic and serious, straight to the point. Seemed bothered by our presence and a question on the menu. The dining area wasn’t clean and upon walking in, everyone was standing around (we were the only ones in there) so not sure why it was so messy. Perhaps they were taking a break in between a rush which is understandable! I will give it another shot soon.”
“Love stopping by almost every morning. The staff are wonderful, efficient, and friendly. The coffee and food are fresh and absolutely delicious. The store itself is super cute and stocked with goodies. A great small business to support.”

“This place has awesome sushi! Annaisewas such a sweet young lady who took our order. We had such a nice interaction with her. She needs a raise! We waited a long time for our order but the ppl ordering were so nice to speak with. One gentleman was from Dedham and that's not far from where we live. He missed how New Englanders say "South Shore". The food was worth the wait. Thanks to our brother for suggesting this wonderful place. I'm stuffed.”

“I have to mention the person who assisted us. As two weary travelers on "The Pike" my wife and I became hungry and stopped at this location. We were a bit undecided as to what to get but Robin, who was working the counter, was both patient and friendly while helping us decide. She did a fantastic job of helping us and going above and beyond by checking on us after being served. She is absolutely the type of person the public should interact with and should be recognized for her efforts. Robin, YOU ARE A ROCK STAR!!!!! Great Job and Thank You!!!!!”

“While I may have a bias as a six year server at the Steaming Tender, I am truly blessed to be a part of our team. My fellow servers are genuinely friendly and eager to learn, each bringing their authentic personality and sense of professionalism to the table. Our bartenders mix and match with the best of them, whether you fancy one of our rotating local draft beers, a seasonally curated cocktail, or a classic mocktail for those lighter days, they'll prepare you a beverage that will hit the spot with finesse, know-how, and a great conversation. Our chefs are some of the hardest working people I know, consistently innovating and executing a complex array of well-crafted dishes. They can have a seemingly endless amount of orders coming into their kitchen and still put their hearts and souls into every diner's plate. And the best part is, our dishwashers work seamlessly behind the scenes, ensuring you needn't worry about a thing. Steaming Tender is fully family owned and operated and it shows. Our management values input, seeks new ways to expand and improve, and strive to create a positive work environment. Lastly, but certainly not least, the preservation of this historical landmark of Palmer keeps our rich American history alive. I truly believe H.H. Richardson and Frederick Law Olmsted would be proud. If you appreciate delicious food, delightful service, and a deep dive into local history I encourage you to choo-choo-choose the Steaming Tender.Vegetarian options: Seasonal salads, secret garden veggie burger, basil pomodoroDietary restrictions: Vegan options, gluten free options. Accommodating kitchen.Kid-friendliness: Kids will love watching the trains go by, the birthday song, and sitting in the shoe shine station. The patio in the summer time is always a wow moment as well. Be sure to check out the grounds filled with antique stagecoach, train memorabilia, and genuine 1915 Porter Locomotive.Wheelchair accessibility: Sloped area in the curbing next to the red dining car, beside handicap parking.”

“My husband and I visit the Apple Barn Cafe every time we are in the area, which we make a point to be. Wonderful family. . Very accommodating! The whole family, to include their cousins, add to the atmosphere with their great smiles and their desire to serve you the best food in the area. Suzanne knows how to cook, believe me. The hash is to die for! Really, I would have to mention almost everything on their menus because they are all favorites. We try and pick something different whenever we are there. We have never been disappointed. This Christmas season I need to revisit their holiday specials. Between the food, and the beautiful countryside of Brimfield, you will be glad you went. We will be back.”

“007's a little doughy for my liking. Same for egg rolls. Everything else was good. Got 2 dinners @ $12.50/EA and split. It was around 8pm so it was quiet. My friend used the Ladies room and she said it was kinda dirty. I usually get dinners ToGo. For about $26 I have enough for days. Love Chinese leftovers!”

“Clean, quiet and peaceful restaurant that really delivers a big punch of AUTHENTIC Thai cuisine. We will definitely be back! From the dishes themselves, the food and the kind service we received we couldn't have been more happy to have chosen to try this tonight! Definitely stop by, you won't regret it! If you have a large group, you may want to call ahead as the space inside is limited.”

“Our party are all looking forward to dining in at Villa Sofia this evening. This will be our third time. The menu selections are always wonderful and the portion sizes just right. One in our party of four has celiac and the staff and kitchen are adept at accommodating this. We haven't tried the pizza yet but it's on the list!”

“A great little place for breakfast or lunch! They are open until 1 every day except Sunday when they close at 12:30. The service is great! My order was out quickly considering how busy the restaurant was. There aren't a lot of tables, but there always seems to be one available when you go in. The burgers are fantastic, as well as their breakfasts. The prices are very reasonable as well. Check out the mug 'n' muffin, you will not be disappointed!”
“Absolutely love this place. Whenever I happen to ride into Ware I just pray he's there and not gone for a fair or event. Usually can smell the BBQ before I actually see the place and get so excited.”

“One of the best road side summer hang out spots. They have beyond burgers too for the vegetarians! We've gotten all kinds of food here: ice cream, root beer float, burgers, fries and onion rings etc. There is ample parking and a field or back with picnic tables and little play structures for small children. Great for families with kids, I'm looking Forward to taking my daughter here and heading some ICE cream with parent friends this summer ?Vegetarian options: Lots of the sides are veg (onion rings, fries etc.) and they also have plant based "Beyond" burgers. Although I haven't confirmed whether there is a separate fry-o-lator for veg or gluten intolerant people.Parking: Big dirt lot.Kid-friendliness: Yes, lots of play structures and an open field area to play, supervision is easy so parents can relax too!Wheelchair accessibility: Yes!”

“We appreciate greatly for the welcoming warm greetings and services by the staff. Today, we were stranded at Palmer and our car was towed away because it hit the pothole around 1 pm. We called roadside assistance numerous times and waited for an Uber ride. After 3 hours of continued discussions, an Uber ride came to pick up only 3 not 4 of us. No! How can we leave one of us there? ! There was no Uber or car service available at Palmer; no car was willing to take us home which was over 50 miles away. All staff at Dunkin were very kind. We were able to seat our old parents (over 85 years old) inside and enjoyed sandwiches and coffee inside the well heated Dunkin! Nick spotted our car service while we were waiting at the other entrance. The whole ordeal finally came to a closure after over 6 hours. BMW roadside assistance was extremely helpful. Eric understood our situation and went above and beyond to find us a car service, not an Uber. Thanks Eric army BMW! We are grateful to meet great, nice, kind people like you (Nick, the guy and gal prepared our sandwiches and drinks. Sport that I did not ask your names), especially when we are far away from home! Thank you for your lovely and warm welcoming hospitality! Indebted for your kindness! We are now home. So sweet to meet nice people and memorialize the ordeal when we are home! Thank you, Dunkin Donuts Staff at 3086 S Main Street, Palmer, MA!!!!!”
