We had a great experience! The food was delicious, the wait staff were very nice, and the atmosphere was intimate.

Made a reservation, waited 45 mins to be seated. This isn't their first Valentine's rodeo, the restaurant should've know better to allot more time per party than your usual dinner reservation. Food was okay.

The food is delicious! But the service is horrible. To be clear, our waitress was polite and professional. But the kitchen was so slow. We sat for 100 min until our entrees were served. I would strongly urge everyone NOT to come to this place during Valentine's Day since they are way overbooked and the management is a disaster.

Nice spot with tasty French cuisine; adequate wine list; and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Good spot for dinner or glass of wine and charcuterie board..

The food and wine was excellent, our waiter made some great suggestions for wine pairings too. I really enjoyed my time here. It can get a little bit loud, but that's to be expected for a smaller venue. I was still able to chat with my friends no issue though.

A lovely evening. Warm, bistro-like atmosphere. Excellent wine list with good value. We asked for a special dish not on the regular menu and got it with no fuss or extra cost. It really is a lesser-known gem. This from a local.

Great place for the oenophile, with an extensive selection available by the glass or bottle. My companion and I had appetizers and shared a desert - which we re excellent, and matched well with our drink selections. Service was highly attentive without being intrusive. I would point out two things: The space is acoustically “bright.” Being on the smaller side, it can get a little noisy, but not obnoxiously so. This is definitely a wine bar, with a modest selection of beers - don't go expecting an array of other choices. Lastly, and crucially; we were never made to feel rushed; our light dinner and drinks stretched two hours. I can't think of another place where that would have been possible.

Had a very pleasant new years eve meal. Staff was knowledgeable and efficient. Sommelier really brought it with a recommendation for a very tasty and affordable wine to match our food.

Cozy ambiance, perfect portions and a great selection of GOOD wine. Warm olive bread basket did not disappoint.Come here if you can’t get into La Voile next door.

I made a reservation for a pre-Christmas dinner with some family and loved the place. The food was excellent (except for some overcooked tuna, which is why I downgraded by one star) but otherwise we had a first class meal. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly and the pacing of the meal was perfect. I will definitely be back for the wonderful French cuisine!

Love this restaurant! Waiter was extremely knowledgeable about wines, very friendly, excellent service. Loved the smallish space/cozy, food was great - French Fries delicious and difficult to make well. Loved the bouillabaisse, beef bourginon, Niçoise salad, steak with sauce. Can't wait to go back.

First off, we did not have a bad experience here. We just were not blown away. The “exceptional” Open Table status is simply another example (in a long line of examples) of Open Table having inflated ratings. This was a 3.5-3.75 experience. Again, not bad at all. You can just understand why we were able to get a party of 7 at 7:30pm on a Friday night in Boston three days before the rez. The appetizers were better than the meals. Escargot was awesome, shishitos were good (tough to screw up), mushroom soup was good, steak tartare was good, foie gras was good. We all got either braised beef or steak for entrees. The braised beef was solid but unremarkable. The steak dish was unimpressive (not the best cut of meat). Their fries are money though, I'll say that. Staff is VERY nice and they work hard. The service, although somewhat inexperienced, was very good. Zero complaints there. Really friendly people. So yeah, overall not a terrible experience by any means. If we ended up back there someday, I wouldn't complain at all, but we aren't rushing back. We just weren't blown away by the food and for an “exceptional” rating, that seems like a realistic expectation.

When we dined here last January, we had a superb meal with excellent service. Our meal a few days ago was ... not so good. The service has definitely declined -- although the wait staff were cheerful, and appeared to be putting in a good effort, they seemed inexperienced, and there were a number of gaffes -- I was served the wrong cocktail; items on the table were whisked away without first asking us (I realize the table was small and so perhaps an effort was being made to create real estate, but still); my friend's mushroom soup arrived cold; and the food, while certainly edible, didn't create such a wonderful impression this time. I had the risotto with scallops -- the scallops were nicely seared, but the risotto was rather thick & uninteresting. While I did recommend the restaurant after my January visit, I don't think I could in good conscience recommend it now -- very disappointed.
