Friendly place with a small but well-balanced menu. Good bread, nice choice of wines. A few dishes outstanding, most good to very good. Main fault I have come across is underpowered flavor in some dishes -- a risotto, for example. La Voile can be noisy, especially in an evening when it's full. Some pleasant outdoor tables.
Went for lunch. Shared the cheese plate with a friend and had the entrecote with a glass of bordeaux for my main lunch. The food was fantastic and exactly what I would expect from a bistro in Paris. Quaint setting and great service as well. Would love to come back during warmer months and enjoy lunch on their outdoor patio while people watching along Newbury

Excellent french cuisine. The "filet de boeuf" and "boeuf bourguignon" were excellent and you can believe me (I am French and know very well what french cuisine means)! Service was excellent (very professionnal and very friendly). I recommend this restaurant to everyone
