Food & drinks: Food was ok, although they could not serve items during brunch that they have at other times of the day. But our experience was marred when 3 of our 7 orders never came at all. We ordered 12:50pm - we gave up as we had a 2p appt and left 1:43pm. The manager removed the items from our bill and promised to box the items to go. They never arrived. The 3 orders were tater tots, bacon, and a bagel in case you thought they were elaborate menu items. Bad service? Kitchen coordination? Both? YMMV

Bar / dining situated conveniently across from the Prudential Center, this two-story restaurant boasts ample seating with a variety of tables. During our visit on a quiet Monday afternoon, we found the ambiance spacious and inviting. The hamburgers were outstanding, as was the BSS Burger. Additionally, the fried chicken sandwich comes highly recommended. The service was attentive, and we appreciated the convenience of credit card payments being accepted.

Not a fan of this place. I ordered the BLT grilled cheese, which was neither a BLT nor a grilled cheese? It didn't seem to have cheese on it, and the bacon was weirdly thick and had no flavor. Plus, the lettuce on it was shredded and the whole thing was so greasy. I couldn't eat more than a couple bites because it was grossing me out, so I added a cup of clam chowder, which was just ok. Wouldn't recommend it. And they forgot to give me the oyster crackers that came with it. I asked three different times for water (from the waitress and from the guy delivering food to tables) and had to wait until the very end of the meal to get it. Our waitress was REALLY busy so I don't really blame her, but it was not ideal. Ambiance was fine, very pubby. If you found something good on the menu and got tipsy enough not to care about waiting around, you would probably have fun. But I'm guessing there are a lot of delicious places to eat in Boston, so I would absolutely pass on this place.

Great food and fun atmosphere - really enjoyed my time here on a team trip. Service was excellent as well - water cups were filled in seconds, will come back next time I'm in Boston

You know, we always have a great time here! Been here a few times for the dollar shucks, and last visit was with the fam. Great grub, fast service, friendly staff.

The food and drinks were so good! Affordable compared to other places in the area who overcharge simply for their “location”. Back bay social was in a lively, high-traffic area with lots to do in the area and prices were still average. We love to see that in this economy. Our waitress was fantastic (wish we remembered her name) but she had red hair. The French onion soup which I am a fanatic for, was different. In a good way! It was thicker than most I’ve had and spicy. It cured me from the Boston cold and wind! The truffle fries were so good I only wish most of the pieces were actual fries. Toward the middle/bottom they’re little broken off end pieces. I know that’s not always achievable but it felt like overkill small pieces. Pizza was so good perfectly to share or for yourself. Ambiance was nice, too.

The braised short ribs were surprisingly flavorful and delicious, but the root vegetables had shrunken and were mushy. My friend enjoy her fish and chips though. I like that they were not stingy with the volume of food. Service was as expected. What impressed me is honestly the immaculate vibe. The music selection was fantastic and this is a great spot to catch up with a friend/group of friends. It was very lively and I think a great option for a last minute friday night dinner spot.

2 stars only because i liked the fries. The servers weren’t attentive. We waited for our utensils after the food. The server didn’t check up on us. The fries were good, but the food sucked so bad… my burger didn’t taste good and they didn’t even ask me how I wanted my meat cooked. My boyfriend ordered the ribs and a few hours later couldn’t stop throwing up. I don’t recommend this place.

Laid back restaurant and bar in a great location with great food! A few highlights include the sausage and pepper pizza and fried chicken sandwich. The drinks aren’t anything crazy - standard cocktails, nothing fancy, but this is a great spot to meet friends and start your night downtown!

Great old school Boston bar/restaurant with dim lights and beautiful wood interior. Good local beer, very good buffalo wings, and a truly excellent Waygu beef burger perfectly cooked and uniquely flavored. Great service and great atmosphere perfect for a chilly Friday night.

We went here at 6:45 on a Saturday. It wasn’t super crowded but it should be. Maybe it gets busy later? The food was a little heavy, but tasted amazing!! The server was super nice, attentive, and answered our questions well. The food came out fast and the atmosphere was very cozy and nice. The wings and salad were pretty good, but our table all agreed that the chicken and waffles, burger, and truffle fries were the favorites.

Vibe is great people are great music I'd great. Don't ever order a mixed drink though. The well is 12 bucks and they only pour 1oz. Every bartender 1oz of liquor for 12 bucks is wild and I probably don't be returning
