I am back for breakfast from a few weeks ago. Just the right mix of flavors for me. The food is simple but the flavor is great. I love the tea: it's a little bittersweet. It's quiet on a Sunday morning with background chatter. The furniture is a little old but the atmosphere is relaxing. There are just a few seats but enough.
Chinese bakeries are so so underrated. Eldo is great for their dan tat and their cakes. The 6in were like $20-24 and so good. This dan tat is like $1.5, which was more expensive than the last time I got it, but still really cheap considering the cost of inflation today, and well worth it. The dan tat itself is flakey, custardy, it sells out so get it earlier in the day and when it is especially good when it is fresh and hot out of the oven. I buy the durian cake here for every one of my family members birthdays. Their cakes are layered with fresh fruits and actual durian fruit. The prices are very reasonable. I’ve been going here for many years and they maintain the quality throughout the years. American cakes are boring and way to sweet.
