“It took me 2 years to get to Lenox Sophia and I am kicking myself for not having made it there sooner now! What a fantastic experience from the moment we stepped in the door to the moment we waddled out with full bellies. We sat at the counter and what fun to be near the (sparkling clean) kitchen and watch the chefs at work. They were calm and coordinated even thought the place was full; you can tell Chef Mei has worked in Keller kitchens. We ordered the omnivores and veg menu and were able to alter the veg menu to have fish course from the omnivore side. I am super glad I did because the red perch was perfect with the light cornmeal crust (pretty sure it was cornmeal) and the zing of the perfectly pickled mussels. I can't get the perfect consistency of the celeriac course out of my mind. We got a special treat of the beet tartar. My mouth is watering again thinking of it. The cracker was the perfect complement and as a beet lover, I say this with respect... It didn't have the earthiness that some folks don't like about beets but I think it highlighted beets well. Basically, I think Chef Mei did some magic. You can probably tell I can keep going about the dinner. And I haven't even touched on the service which was exceptional. Knowledgeable, attentive without being too much (which isn't easy in a small space). Needless to say at this point probably, but I will be going back to Lenox Sophia!“
“Highly recommendFood was amazingChicken dish was very tender and tasty with creamy mashed potatoes. The lobster ravioli were fantastic - the ravioli was in a brown sauce with mushrooms and paired great with red wineThe clam chowder had a nice subtle bacon flavor to it and truly top shelf for a chowder aficionadoThe wine list by the glass was decent but not amazing. Thats where I’d upgrade given the food is so goodThe ambiance was really good. Nice subtle background music. Great dim lighting but not too dark. Furnishings and wall decor was very tasteful and modern, the TVs were subtle but available where you can catch a game but not be diverted from conversationVery nice raw bar with a few oyster selections.Again would highly recommend - not super cheap nor pricey and worth the money.Dinner for 3 with 2 drinks each and a shared dessert was $200. For Boston a reasonable tab.“
“Outstanding service, excellent food, beautiful atmosphere, really nice evening with my family. Our waiter’s name was Hennie (sp)? She made our night so much fun. She is highly professional. I highly recommend Hennie as an outstanding team member at your fabulous restaurant. In addition, when our meal arrived we were greeted by 4 servers. I will definitely recommend to my friends that your restaurant is the best I have been to in a very long time. Thank you Rick Driscoll“
“Such a beautiful restaurant with excellent service and food. You feel fancy just walking in the door. Amazing cocktail list, love that they have a coravin wine list if you want to step up your wine game. The food is classic sophistication without being boring. Easily one of the best crab cakes I’ve ever had. Oh and weirdly they have bacon cheese hash browns that are devine. Save room for dessert, the key lime pie and bread pudding can’t be missed. I’ve been for dinner or just to grab a drink and app at the bar and always have a great experience.“
“They had a Nowruz celebration thing that we attended. They served this wonderful 4 course meal. It was like the distillation of Persian food. Thy really get the authentic flavors but in new preparations. Like this take on "Ash Reshteh" that was a cold soup with bright herbal flavors and squid rings. Or their "Ab Goosht" was a cross between a smoky burger and a lamb "Mahiche".Such great experience.“
“The 2 bone in filets were over cooked in one part of one filet and in the other filet it was under cooked in one part so we ended up trading the well done for the not so well done as how we ordered the steak .. they offered a new steak but at the price of the bone in we don't like to waste food - they comp a drink but that's all ? I think they should have comp the steak but otherwise it was good“
“Came here for Dine Out Boston (2024) and I absolutely loved it! The field green salad was huge and I loved the dressing. Then for my entree chicken and I was not disappointed. Double chicken breast over a risotto with mushrooms. The flavor was wonderful and the chicken was sooooo juicy. It also comes with mashed potatoes (my favorite) and we chose asparagus as a replacement for the creamed spinach. Then for dessert I got the crème brûlée, everyone was sad they didn't pick that one after they took a bite of mine. Definitely get the crème brûlée because it was creamy and decadent, the cheesecake was good too. Overall, this was a really good Dine Out Boston choice, especially since there aren't too many in the greater north Boston area“
“The service is excellent. Our waitress Jami really cared about our feelings for the steaks that we ordered. She asked me how I felt about the steaks. “I ordered my steaks to be cooked for medium rare but the kitchen overcooked the steak and it became too dry”, I said. She offered to replace a new steak for me even though I said we were fine with the steak. She wanted to ensure that we were 100% satisfied with the food. Even the manager came over to our table to apologize for the food that didn’t meet our expectation. The service exceeded my expectation.“
“The crème brûlée is BOMB! And so are all the sides, and the tiramisu! NY Strip and the ribeye were also pretty good! Lovely ambiance and GREAT service. Service is surprisingly fast, as well, at least at lunchtime. I usually eat at the bar.“
