“It was a great night! Really good energy in the restaurant - lively and sexy and happy. My cocktail was pretty good, salad was fine. I had the trout for dinner and it was very nice - very well prepared. The most impressive part of the meal was the chocolate cake! I usually am not a dessert person, but it was excellent - not overly sweet, but rich and gorgeous.“
“The hostess and wait staff were wonderful, friendly and efficient. Katherine was our head server and did a phenomenal job with such a large group Food and drinks were amazing, as expected. We hosted our son's graduation dinner and they even had a few unexpected personal touches which made it that much more special. Well done!“
“Definitely in the vicinity of 1 Michelin star. The service and atmosphere are relaxed and attentive, but not stuffy. The food is very good, with a few standouts: the snapper appetizer, scallops main, and desserts were excellent. The pasta main was a disappointment: too al dente and spicy, and in general, we found most dishes to be on the spicy side. So, I would say 5/5 hospitality, 4/5 food. Dinner took about 2 - 2 1/2 hours, and they were happy to accommodate our needs on that. Service was very attentive but not particularly warm; no mention of the occasion we were celebrating or any special treats from the chef or anything like that. Overall, a great option for a special occasion.“
“Atlantic Fish Company is a must-visit seafood destination in Boston. From the moment you enter, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. My 4 person group started with cocktail shrimp and bacon-wrapped scallops as appetizers, which were both impeccably fresh and flavorful. For my main course, I opted for one of their evening specials: lobster carbonara. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the lobster was succulent, all enveloped in a rich and creamy sauce. But what really elevated our meal was the exceptional service we received throughout the evening. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and made us feel right at home.If you're looking for a top-notch seafood restaurant in Boston, Atlantic Fish Company should be at the top of your list ???“
“Was being super picky on where to eat on my last night in Boston. Although a sea food fan, I wouldn't say I've been the most experimental in my time...mostly sticking to simple fish.Seated at the bar, the gentleman who served me was lovely and refreshing. He was ever so helpful with my questions and provided excellent recommendations.I tried my first oyster....to my surprise they're rather delicious ha! Although I couldn't describe the flavour to you. Not "fishy" like I kept imagining, not plagued by a salty taste. The scallops as a main was really well balanced, flavoursome, and some of the best scallops I've tasted. I've never had scallops that size in the UK; they had a meaty quality whilst having a sweat like essence. The restaurant has an amazing vibe, and as a solo diner I thoroughly enjoyed sitting at the bar, watching both the chefs and the bartenders work.“
“A notable destination for Mediterranean seafood fares in the heart of Back Bay.Recently took a visit for dinner. Set against a backdrop of a modern lounge vibe, complete with high ceilings, Porto seemed like an ideal spot for date nights. As advertised, their menu featured a blend of Italian pasta and Mediterranean seafood dishes. We started off our meal with the Crispy Calamari. It was a decent appetizer that aligned with the typical offerings of a modern Italian restaurant. Its seasoning was a tad overbearing, but it still set a nice tone for the meal. From their pasta selections, we opted for theWild Mushroom Mafalde and the Wild Boar Cocoa Pappardelle. The Pappardelle boasted a tender boar ragu with umami from Manchego, but it unfortunately suffered from a lack of cohesion. The pasta itself was slightly undercooked and lacked depth in flavor, failing to fully harmonize with the ragu. On the other hand, the Mafalde was enjoyable. The combination of garlic butter and Aleppo pepper introduced a welcomed acidity, and the interplay of textures between the al dente Mafalde and the succulent mushrooms was particularly satisfying. The highlight of the evening was the Seared Bronzino. Unlike many other Branzino dishes I've tried in Boston, which often fell flat in flavor, Porto’s rendition was masterfully-seasoned. Each bite struck a perfect balance between salinity and the sweet nuances of the squash purée.While Porto may not be the best Mediterranean spot in Back Bay, its seafood offerings, particularly the Seared Bronzino, make it worth a return visit. The pricing, given the quality and ambiance, also doesn’t feel too excessive. Recommend giving them a try if you’re looking for an upscale romantic venue with great food and atmosphere.Parking: Prudential public parking garage“
“Top notch service, my waiter Mac and his team were amazing, he was attentive and had a great personality. Thanks Mac!!!I had ordered lobster bisque, 1/2 dozen oysters, lobster taco, crab cakes which were all good beside the steak tartare. It was sallly :/ we had also ordered 18oz prime bone in New York strip with smoked chili rub and that was a big huge mistake. I give this steakhouse 6/10“
“We had an outstanding experience. Food and service were amazing. For example I always thought shrimp cocktail was shrimp cocktail but somehow these shrimp were fresher and tastier. The oysters were ridiculously good and my lobster roll was perfect. This will be my go to place for seafood in back bay.“
“Excellent meal and super quick service. Actually amazed on how a small place got meals done so quick. Have not been to north end since pre covid and had no idea what to pick. Just happened to pick here as it was available on open table. It was definitely the right choice. Table was waiting for us in a totally full restaurant. BTW it says they validate parking at sister restaurant form parking but did it right at the table. Walk from garage is a straight shot of maybe 5 blocks. All easy!“
“The lobster rolls were amazing. It is pricey but I’m pretty sure they give you an entire lobster inside the roll! At least that’s what it feels like. I got a traditional and the other person got a hot buttered one. The hot buttered one was phenomenal but the traditional wasn’t bad either. The inside is kind of a tight squeeze but the overall experience was great.“
“The seafood options are absolutely divine! Love everything about this place- from the portions, the ambiance and the service. Prices are a bit on the higher end, but there is value for what you're paying for. I can appreciate that. Highly recommended!“
“We got the salmon cups, which was very hearty and yummy! We also got the Botan Ebi Ikura and the Miso Butter Cod and another handroll which I forgot but all were so fresh and delicious in their own ways. We did have to wait 20 minutes to be seated since it is a small space, but it was totally worth it!“
“I just proposed to my fiancée and we came here to celebrate. The servers were very attentive and picked up on the fact that we just got engaged without us needing to say anything! They gave us champagne and a desert on the house, and even the general manager came to say congrats. Out main server was Mario and he was just delightful, the most amazing server we’ve ever had at any restaurant. Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere, 100/10 would recommend this place!“
“We stayed close to the Sail Loft in Boston, MA and traveling with three little kids - two of which have allergies. Jen, the manager, and the entire staff were very accommodating and even brought out labels of different foods to ensure everything would be safe. Many times we encounter staff that seem to be annoyed by the allergy safety requests, but not the Sail Loft. I usually do not leave reviews, but I wanted to go out of our way to highlight the experience we had here. The food and drinks were great and the atmosphere was fun on a St Patrick's Day Saturday. To any families traveling with kids with allergies - I would highly recommend making a stop at the Sail Loft when visiting Boston.Dietary restrictions: Highly accommodating of our kids allergies and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. They were on a 60-90 minute wait and still took their time.Kid-friendliness: Great atmosphere for lunch with the kids.“
“Legit moved every bit of my meal! From the brown butter lobster roll to the delicious crudo. My only beef is the 5% admin fee already added! When I asked about it they said: “it’s to distributed to our non-tipped staff in the form of increased wages.” Why I am responsible for paying your employees a better wage?! Shouldn’t that be left to the owners/management?!“
“Wonderful experience, attentive staff, and great food. I just want to call out the ice cream dessert. The one with the caramel and pecans..... divine. This is obviously not an ice cream restaurant but this is the best ice cream I've had in Seaport so far.“
“This restaurant is perfect. Food is pricy but 100% worth the splurge if you can. We got the lobster roll and lobster bolognese, and both were fantastic and tasted super fresh. Portion sizes were amazing, and the atmosphere was superb; often you feel like you’re struggling to hear in restaurants, but here the tables are spaced out evenly and it feels buzzy but not loud. Service was excellent too, as our server was very friendly and our food arrived in no time.“
“Ate here again, 7 years later. What an Excellent dinner. Not cheap by any means, but service was top notch and the food/wine/cocktails were all delicious. I would not be surprised if this place is handed a Michelin star in the future. Go here for a special occasion - you will not be disappointed.“
“Had a quick stop here for lunch, and it was a pretty decent experience. It’s a trailer sitting in a parking lot, but once you get inside you feel like you’re in this small cozy restaurant/small seafood market. The service was ok, the guy behind the counter seemed like he had somewhere else to be, but did his job none the less. The food came out in a timely manner , and tasted pretty good. Clam chowder have it once because it’s all the same for the most part. The lobster roll was packed full of meat , and hit the spot with the warm butter. It’s just one of those places you have a nice experience, but never feel the need to go back to…“
“We had Sunday brunch at Black Lamb. We were greeted warmly and led to a high top table, which was very comfortable and fun for the tall boys in my group. The hostess and our server teamed up to make sure that we had enough attention. The food was absolutely fantastic! I cannot recommend the biscuits and gravy highly enough. It was a special that I truly hope they make a regular item. The service, the ambience, the food—all get an A+! We will definitely be back!“
“✅ Amazing Ambience✅ fast✅ Food is spiced just right, not too salty, not too spicy etc✅ Plates, presentation, and others were beautiful✅ hard to find authentic dishesI will be back again and again!!!! Whoever the chefs are need a raise!!!! And the staff!!! They're amazing!!“
“We came here last night with a group of friends and we are already planning our next trip back. When we arrived for our reservation we were immediately seated. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and helped us pick out some favorites off the menu. Everything we tried was amazing - highly recommend both the Thai sausage lettuce wraps and chilled octopus salad.“
“The restaurant was really nice, we didn't have to wait to be seated. The waitstaffs were very nice and helpful when ordering from the menu. Every dish we ordered were really delicious. I personally love the Grilled Octopus, Calamari and red beet salad, the drinks were divine ?. I think is a neighborhood gem . Definitely will come back.“
“So nice black pasta!Since the room in the restaurant is compact, we, 4 adults and 5 kids worried about we couldn't get in there. But the staff kindly prepared a table so that we could really enjoy the outstanding pasta.Kid-friendliness: They have a chair for kids.“
“Fantastic food and cocktails! Everything at bar volpe is phenomenal especially the in house pasta. I’ve never had anything from Bar Volpe or it’s sister restaurant Fox and the Knife that I didn’t love. Highly recommend ordering lots of plates to share.Parking: You will have to find street parking. It’s near a T stop though so I recommend taking that if you can.“
“I have a gluten allergy and was so excited to learn they have gluten free buns. So happy they can accommodate allergies! I got the lobster roll flight and it was delicious! Will definitely be coming back.Dietary restrictions: Loved the gluten free rolls“
“Wonderful staff which that was very helpful of offering suggestions from a nice variety of Entrées and main courses. The ambience is warm and open with large windows over looking the lights of Boston. The grilled octopus was out of this world as was the beef Capacio with its wonderful truffle sauce. The Dover soul was beautifully prepared and deboned table side into moist strips of white fish with a light butter and lemon sauce. Also, enjoyed the unique serving of tiramisu for desert, which was also prepared table and was a great way to finish off the meal. Was a great place to celebrate our anniversary, and greatly appreciated the great service and food.“
“Consistently quick and friendly service, serving massive menu portions in their poppin dining room. No really, if you come at dinner time on a weekend, the dining room is packed. This adds to the fun when it's buzzing in here. I've come during off times before - when it's super quiet - and it changes the experience. I get the Chicken Christopher every time and it's so so good. They've nailed down the perfect creamy sauce it gets served in, and it comes with a lemon on the plate you can squeeze on if you'd like. The sides are big enough to feed 2 people so it's best to order a bunch of sides for the table and get a taste of everything. As it is, the onion bread they give you before ordering is so delicious that you might even get full off that. :) The French Onion Soup takes the cake as my fav starter. Although every time I come, someone gets the iceberg wedge salad and they speak so highly of it. So I'd suggest going with either. I'm not a steak lover but they certainly know how to cook a mean steak given how people always rave about it whenever I go!“
“If you don’t go here for lobster rolls, you’re seriously missing out. Buy a pound of fresh lobster and ask for some rolls and a side of butter..BAM. Too delicious. Also fried calamari, clam chowder, and their blueberry lemonade were all superb!“
“Who else hasn’t eaten bean sprouts and egg fried rice? It’s like a state banquet. I’ll be really sad if someone doesn’t pack a portion to take away when someone comes. It’s so delicious. It’s worth walking ten minutes in the cold wind to buy egg fried rice. (Egg fried rice can be bought separately without having to eat hot pot. Those who are too lazy to turn on the fire are in luck)“
“I have never posted a review before. My wife and I are visiting Boston during the winter and we ate dinner at Summer Shack last night. We ate at Atlanta Fish Co a few days ago and that was good too. We went to Pescador tonight and it was so very bad we paid the check, left the food and went back to the Summer Shack because it was so incredibly good. Recommend to all who love great shellfish and lobster. The best.“
“Went during Reastaurant week so went looking for the specials ..the waiter explained it didn’t make any sense because there was additional pricing for some of the items which defeats the Reastaurant week deal so I got the bootleg special for two and it was pretty good came out looking and smelling delicious and it was a good portion seeing how you get a whole lobster also got the shooter special but it was a little confusing because I thought you were getting 4 different flavored shots when it was just multiple flavors in that one shooter but I may go maybe one more time to try something else for another review just don’t go during reastaurant week unless they change the prices items“
“I went on a business trip last week and tried Tao Xiaoyan's Sichuan cuisine. It was really delicious. It's the ceiling of Sichuan cuisine. The pickled fish is sour and spicy, the dry pot sausage is crispy and goes well with rice. Endless aftertaste! I will come again next time I go on a business trip. I highly recommend it to everyone!“
“Was here with a friends for a bday dinner. It was absolutely delicious from drinks to mains and to dessert. We had their private room and it was so great to make all the noise in there. Totally recommend everything but our favorites was the croquettes, patatas bravas, shrimp in garlic and the salad. But totally do the omakase pre doze meal they have. Let them do all the thinking. Sit back and drink and stuff your face. Can't wait to go back. Service was phenomenal too!!“
“Ticks all boxes first restaurant we came to in Little Italy and it was greatGreeted warmly sat straight away and service efficient throughout the meal.Couldn’t have got a better Gluten Free Pizza for my wife so thanks guys just perfectFood top quality“
“So good! The oysters -- different varieties of them -- were fantastic, as were the scallops, the clam chowder, and the lobster roll. This was a real treat. Everything was so fresh and prepared nicely (super flavorful without too much seasoning, and cooked but not overcooked, rubbery, etc.). And though it was quite expensive (for us, anyway), it was not completely unreasonable and it was worth it for the overall experience. Definitely worth the wait!“
“Stopped by for a rainy weekend late lunch. We were seated right away. I ordered the bun bo hue and it was very good. Soup was savory, not too salty. I ordered the steamed mixed veggies on the side, probably wouldn't do it again for the 3.95 price point - very small portion and the veggies were barely steamed. Good experience overall, will come back just for the bun bo hue!“
“Absolutely wonderful! From the young lady helping us navigate the menu to pick out what we wanted,to the wonderful cook Carlos who got our order out quickly and cooked to perfection! These Texas girls(caterers to boot!) We're very impressed! Thank you for making our experience so wonderful!“
“Highly recommendFood was amazingChicken dish was very tender and tasty with creamy mashed potatoes. The lobster ravioli were fantastic - the ravioli was in a brown sauce with mushrooms and paired great with red wineThe clam chowder had a nice subtle bacon flavor to it and truly top shelf for a chowder aficionadoThe wine list by the glass was decent but not amazing. Thats where I’d upgrade given the food is so goodThe ambiance was really good. Nice subtle background music. Great dim lighting but not too dark. Furnishings and wall decor was very tasteful and modern, the TVs were subtle but available where you can catch a game but not be diverted from conversationVery nice raw bar with a few oyster selections.Again would highly recommend - not super cheap nor pricey and worth the money.Dinner for 3 with 2 drinks each and a shared dessert was $200. For Boston a reasonable tab.“
“It was my first time having a lobster roll and it did not disappoint. I got the combo meal of a hot buttered lobster roll with classic clam chowder and a fountain drink. The lobster roll was nice, warm, and buttery while the clam chowder was creamy and delicious. It looked like a small meal but it was quite filling. It totaled out to be just below $35, it's worth giving it a try. It's located inside the Quincy Market and seating is wherever is available.“
“A very chill seafood place. Ordered Seafood Trio, which includes lobster roll, snow crab roll, and schrimp roll. Loved lobster and snow crab ones the most. Though they don’t look like a lot, but actually quite filling with all the butter and meaty seafood. The location is right across from the public library, around the corner from Lindt, very easy to reach.“
“Had a late lunch here a couple of weeks back. Given the hour it was not very busy and we got a seat by the Window with the Harbor view. Nice ambiance, though mainstream for this type of a restaurant. We had Oysters, Crab cake, Falafel and Lobster Bisque for appetizers. For the entrees the Sushi special and the baked Haddock. The food was very good with the commensurate quality expected with this restaurant chain. Our server Justine was outstanding, and made a mundane afternoon into a pleasant one for us.Overall, very pleased with the food and our visit. A good place to stop by if you crave seafood.“
“Cute little hidden gem. We absolutely love this place! The food, atmosphere, people, service - everything was amazing!Of course, the food deserves a separate discussion and praise! Taste, freshness, aroma, consistency - just wonderful! The beautiful drinks are also noteworthy as they taste just as good as they look. This is always a go to spot whenever we’re on Newbury.“
“I come here yearly, their squid ink pasta (not the sweet potato version) is 10/10 and I come back here for it every time if it’s on the menu.Always excellent service from the staff here.Atmosphere is also great.Never any issues here and a goto place whenever I’m in Boston.“
“The orders are taken online, and no one helps even when asked for assistance. However, at the time of billing, they refuse to leave unless you tip them at least 15%. There's no escaping this situation.Fortunately, the food was the saving grace.“
“A friend recommended this amazing little spot away from the overpriced tourist traps on hanover street. Our waitress (I wish I got her name) and an older woman who I think owned the place were AMAZING, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and we talked all about the old neighborhood I remembered from when I was a child going to haymarket and north end every weekend for meat and produce. Meal was amazing and not overpriced. They even gave us complimentary dessert shots before we left. My new Favorite place in the North End“
“Came here and tried all three of the lobster rolls. The vibe is very casual. They do have an outdoor heated seated section which is pretty cool. The fried lobster roll was my least favorite. I feel like it should come with a sauce or something but the traditional and the hot buttered roll had great flavor, and it was perfect for the price range .“
“If you have money to splurge (and you probably do if you're coming here), get the tomahawk. Can feed 2-3 people comfortably and it really is that good. Also try the steak tartare if going for dinner. It plus the bone marrow is a wonderful treat before your meal (hopefully a tomahawk).“
“Best damn sandwich shop in the North End. If your hungry ask Felix what you should order, you may end up with a double cheeseburger salad that will blow you away or some other culinary invention he crafts on the spot! If your looking for an authentic deli experience or you just want a really good sandwich fast. This is the place for you! Gluten free option available, accessibility is a little tight but this amazing staff would help make sure you are treated well. If you have the chance to meet Paul, do it, he’s a great friendly guy and he’s worked hard to make a great spot to eat!“
“I can't say enough good things about Select. The staff was warm and welcoming and our server John especially was attentive, skilled, and friendly. There were 11 people in our party and everyone had a wonderful time. Food was fabulous. Thank you!“
