This restaurant is a very small store front with 8-10 tables. You walk to the counter to place your order and you can watch them make your order. The menu is typical tacos, burritos, quesadillas and a few salads. We had taco salads with grilled chicken. The portion was very nice, the food was filling and hot. We watched them fry our salad bowls so they were crispy and fresh. This was a tasty, fast lunch.

This was my first time eating here. We did take-out. I had the veggie burrito. I have to say, what a surprise! It was full of a variety of veggies, white & yellow rice, and black beans. The quality and quantity was excellent. I couldn’t believe the amount of veggies were included. Looking forward to my next order!

Stopped in for my Mex fix. Was not disappointed. Ordered two chicken enchiladas and they were very delish! Came with rice and black beans. Server was very nice. Price was reasonable. Looking forward to a return trip.

Best taqueria in Boston!!!

I came to City Place in Boston several times mostly because it was the pick up and drop off location for a tour company I used on two tours while in Boston (Grayline/Beantown Trolley). I will say I was little surprised and disappointed. This is not at all like City Place in Doral (Miami) where I am from. There it is open air, large, beautiful and full of fun places and great restaurants to eat at. This City Place seems more like an indoor food court with the only restaurants I saw to be blaze pizza and the paragon of great Asian food P.F Chang's (lol). Still this is where I went on some great tours. If your visiting Boston, I would definitely check out the tours Grayline/Beantown has. One great thing besides the tour company at City Place is the life size statue of Edgar Allen Poe. Obviously a small man who cast a long shadow. If your wondering why is there a statue of him in Boston? Well, he was born there. Per the tour guide, it was funded by a limited edition Edgar Allen Poe bobble head... wish I could have known I would have bought it! I love Edgar Allen Poe ever since I read this poem of his in middle school that spoke to me: From childhood's hour I have not been As others were -- I have not seen As others saw -- I could not bring My passions from a common spring -- From the same source I have not taken My sorrow -- I could not awaken My heart to joy at the same tone -- And all I lov'd -- I lov'd alone -- Then -- in my childhood -- in the dawn Of a most stormy life -- was drawn From ev'ry depth of good and ill The mystery which binds me still -- From the torrent, or the fountain -- From the red cliff of the mountain -- From the sun that 'round me roll'd In its autumn tint of gold -- From the lightning in the sky As it pass'd me flying by -- From the thunder, and the storm -- And the cloud that took the form (When the rest of Heaven was blue) Of a demon in my view -- I loved the detail of the statue... the Tell-Tale Heart... the Raven... amazing! The statue was awesome. The tour company was great. The rest...uninspiring.

Staff was rude to begin with, I asked for chicken and he gave me steak. On top of this, when I opened my box the quesadilla was soggy, barely had any meat in it, sour cream is watery and tastes odd, and there was hair in it. Never going here again

These kids are excellent in customer service and the steak burritos are very good! Visited a few time and always liked it!

These people can seriously go f*** themselves. You never know when they're open or when they're closed. 1:30pm on a Monday and they're closed. Why? Because it's a local holiday they said? The rest of the food court is open! This has happened too many times. I am f****** done with Herrera's. Your business deserves to go under, and you should surely be removed from the food court.

If you have a cold I suggest getting their chicken tortilla soup. I was recovering from the flu/cold and this soup did the trick. Compared to other restaurants in Boston for $6.00 you get a generous amount of soup with a side of tortilla chips. The staff is friendly. There is ample seating and the ingredients look really fresh. I also tried their chicken taco salad which was ok. I was not satisfied by the portion. If you want to stay away from the big burrito chains this place is a great mom and pop Mexican restaurant. I have not tried their breakfast yet, but I'll give it a whirl. It is located between Tremont St and Downtown Crossing.

I had the breakfast tacos (chorizo & add bacon) they were delicious and very filling. The lady who took my order and served me was very kind and provided good service. I would definitely recommend if you crave breakfast tacos like I do. I would like to try their normal menu next time I'm in!

I found this place useful to eat in between two tours around Boston. Service is quick and food is freshly made indeed. I went for steak nachos and eat the whole thing, don’t know how such a big portion could disappear insideme. :-) The place is busy which is always a good sign. I’d recommend the place if you crave spicy fresh Mexican food and have only spare 20 min for a bite.

I'm pretty sure, even if everyone else stopped going here, my team at work would keep this place in business. I'm not kidding, I've seen the guys leave right as a meeting is about to start to make sure they can get a breakfast burrito before Herrera's stops serving them (11am, if you were curious). I've had their breakfast burritos, regular burritos, chips/salsa/guacamole, quesadillas, and (my favorite) the chicken soup. The staff is always really friendly and your order is ready quickly. It's definitely a no frills kind of place - don't expect white table cloths or intricate decorations here. Also, while it seems like most people take their orders to go, there are a handful of tables if you decide you want to enjoy your meal there. As a heads up - it can get really busy at times so you may or may not be able to find seating during peak lunch hours.

Great spot! Got in and out fast. Food was good. Reasonably priced for this area. Employees were friendly.
