“The first time as a European tourist in Boston, of course, was also on my wish list to try a "lobster roll" for the first time in my life.\n\nOn a walk to the harbour, I came across JAMES HOOK & Co, where I was simply approached by the charming house, the decoration, the planting and the information that it was founded in 1925. \n\nMy credo is always "If a business has been on the market for such a long time...they know what they are doing, do it with passion and just have to be good + if someone values the external design, they also give value to their food and will prepare it well and create an appropriate ambience for them to shine and taste".\n\nUnfortunately, I had to realize that I was there three minutes before closing time, the employees were in the middle of cleaning up and cleaning. So I took a heart and asked one of the employees if I could still order a Lobster Roll quickly as it would be my last day in Boston and I would like to try a Lobster Roll once in my life. So he asked a colleague, who in turn went into the house and asked someone there. \n\nHe invited me to come in and I quickly ordered the original ...which I received within a minute and ate outside.\n\nSometimes simple compilations can be so good...even if you as a European can't imagine that at first and initially feel pity for the lobster that landed its triggered meat in simple mayo on a warm light simple bun...but honestly: \n\nIt was really delicious...and the composition was coherent. \nThe lobster meat was of very good quality...you could just taste it. It was nicely mixed with the delicious majo and pulled through, plus the warm bun....simple but damn delicious and authentic. \n\nI can wholeheartedly recommend it...and obviously many others. Because as I only read later, when I looked around on their website, JAMES HOOK & Co even received several awards.\n\nBesides, it is an owner-managed family business in the third generation..and such businesses that are an original and bring a lot of work and passion to their actions, I think it is important to support!“

“Had a great time again! Went to celebrate another birthday which is always fun. We were really impressed with the grilled octopus as it was tender and tasty (one member doesn't even like octopus, but really enjoyed this). Ostra has definitely become a staple to our fine dining places to go for celebrations.“

“Had my first visit to Bootleg Special last night and it did not disappoint. Every aspect of the meal, from the creative drinks to the delicious appetizers to the fantastic main course was outstanding. Our server, Alex, was attentive and very pleasant. “we had a wonderful experience all around on a busy Sunday. The manager, Russ, greeted us with a warm smile, setting the tone for a great evening. we sat outside and Jorge F, took great care of us. He was prompt but we never felt rushed. the food was excellent, the Lobster cones are a great new item. we also had the classic mussels. The grilled salmon was delicious. Russ was leading his team through a busy shift but was able to make time to ensure everything was just right. The best in the Seaport.“

“My favorite hand roll place. Overall great food and speedy service. The handrolls are super fresh and come out quickly so everything stays fresh and flavorful. We ordered salmon mango, foe grais, miso butter cod and spicy scallops and all of them are really good. Highly recommend the spicy scallops. Our server Stelle are friendly, efficient, and keep things moving without rushing you. Easy spot for a really satisfying meal.“

“Had a great experience at The Banks Seafood and Steak in Boston! I stopped in for drinks at the bar and was truly impressed. Katie, the bartender, made one of the best lychee cocktails I’ve had — perfectly balanced and so refreshing. I also want to acknowledge Gary, the director of operations, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find that level of hospitality. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxed, upscale vibe with top-notch service.“

“We had the pleasure of savoring a delightful dinner experience at Gaga (嘉嘉) Seafood Restaurant nestled within Boston's vibrant Chinatown. Our culinary choices led us to two exquisite dishes: the "Braised Clayton Mutton with Radish" and the Salt and Pepper Squid. The mutton dish, thoughtfully seasoned to perfection, struck an impeccable balance that pleased the palate without overwhelming it with saltiness. “Row 34 Kenmore was excellent from start to finish. Our servers were friendly and helpful with negotiating the menu. The food is fantastic. Folks loved the Fluke and shrimp and grits, and the hot butter lobster roll was the best we've ever had. Also, you MUST try the butterscotch pudding, it's super-smooth and so delicious!“

“Visited ****** with a friend who has been going there for years. She grabbed the frozen shrimp and lobster. I grabbed the scallops wrapped in bacon and a few bags of the beautiful stuffed clams. It is fast-paced there so you've gotta be ready to move out of the way of employees with the boxes on dollies. But the guy who checked us out was sweet and hilarious and so accommodating. Will definitely go back there very soon. “

“First time to Boston and I was on the lookout for the best clam chowder. Three times is definitely the charm in this case. Other places that I visited were mostly creamy soup, bland, and very little clam included. But this one was flavorful and filled with clam pieces. The lobster roll was also amazing as well as the calamari. Plus, it was just three minutes away from our hotel!! Just couldn’t beat the combination. Highly recommend.“

“Lobster rolls!!! Absolutely delicious rolls and the clam chowder!!! I’m not a fan of coleslaw, but their take is good.
I do suggest getting a warm lobster roll and an 8 oz clam chowder. The 3 dollar markup for the warmth is worth it, but also questionable.
You’re going to order through a computer and will receive it from a platform. They do not sell drinks, but you can buy drinks from different restaurants in the food hall.“

“This place is fantastic. Took a work group of 7 there for dinner. The food - from the lamb ribs, lamb burger, and appetizers were fabulous. The service was also excellent - prompt, friendly and a great help with recommendations. This is not a fancy 5 star restaurant nor does it try to be. Casual atmosphere with outstanding food and service. Will be back!“

“Left another place to come here because the customer service was bad. What a 180. Citizen staff was friendly, great w/suggestions and helped secure me a seat at their busy bar. Had two great cocktails and a delicious pepper seared filet. Well done Citizen Pub!! I will be back!“
